Busy few days here. Gave my head a wobble and worked through my fatigue to get quite a bit of cleaning done yesterday. Still not feeling 100%.

Tidied up the current account yesterday and cleared £1.50 off the BC and today I completed more Qme3 surveys to clear a further £1 off the BC.

In other MSE news I read through the MSE email this morning and noticed there was a balance transfer deal with the HSBC offering £25 cashback on BT over £300 . 0% over 32 months and a transfer fee of 1.4%. I qualified for it....so guess what. I transferred the Lloyds balance. I know it's earlier than the Jan deadline but I just wanted to get cracking with it. I transferred £5060 and once cleared I'll pay off the small remaining amount on the LLOYDS. With fees the outstanding on the new HSBC will be £5130.84 (fees totalling £70.84). I'm not going to increase the big total of all debt....because I can't be bothered :rotfl:

Therefore, next step once the BC is cleared AND closed will be to tackle the MBNA as that 0% deal expires in June 2020. The new HSBC deal will expire in 2021. I'd like to clear the MBNA by this time next year.

I have a sense of relief now knowing that I don't have anything accruing interest and I believe all balance's can be cleared within the time limits. Now to just pay pay pay.

I won't update the credit cards below until the BT is complete.

    Totals as of 7th November

    Lloyds CC £5063
    MBNA CC £3823

GReat news about the balance transfer.
What a relief. I don't think you need to increase the 'big' debt total by the £70 as it's effectively interest rather than capital, which the bike purchase was.

That's bc is hitting the dust big time! A few more days and it's gone!

Great that BC is almost gone and the cards are now on decent length deals. Clearing that MBNA in around 20 months sounds doable.

Still not feeling great. I think my body is finally realising that looking after 4 children is hard work. In a permanent state of fatigue.

Be that as it may I'm still managing to stay focused. The BC balance is now cleared! Woohoo. I'd opened that card just over 3 years ago and the balance has been up and down due to a few a BTs over the years. It's amazing to see it all cleared. Super happy :D

BT still not gone through yet but it's pending. I called up to register for online banking and confirmed it. But. ..ugh....the HSBC app is pretty pants tbh.

Working through some figures in my head at the moment. Once I know what the minimum payment for the HSBC will be I'll set up a DD for a rounded up figure to keep chipping away at it. The MBNA, from December, will have a minimum of £260 coming off it a month plus any extra over payments from Qme3 and tidying up the current account.

Can't wait to see huge chunks coming off there.

Wooooohoooooo what a great feeling to have it gone forever.
So, the MBNA would be clear in just over 14 months if you paid £260 a month, any chance you could do it in 12?

    Keep going.

It's my aim. Once I get full pay back I'm hoping to add another £150 on top of that. It's definitely my next big challenge.

That would be fantastic to clear the MBNA in 12 months. Even if it takes longer at least it will be cleared before the deal expires as will your DHs MBNA card he took out for the bike.

    Hi diary world.

Just popping in briefly. Not a huge deal to report really. Got a few things on 3bay finally but really need to put more on. The twins, now they're older, take up alot of time. No longer content with just sleeping:rotfl:

The balance transfer is now complete so figures have been updated. £5060 moved from the LLOYDS to the HSBC. I've paid the remaining £3 left in the LLOYDS card to bring the balance to 0

Tell you what though had I had an opportunity to review the HSBC app beforehand it would've put me off completely. So far I can't seem to find a tab/button/section to pay anything off the CC balance!! Wanted to round the figure down. Will go on the website later instead.

    Totals as of 13th November
