B and M bargains will not know whats hit it later today then! I wonder what time it opens...if I can find the blankets in there I'm going to by them all seeing as it's proving a nightmare to find some! lol

I woke up this morning to a card through the letter box (hand posted although not sure why before 8am on a bank holiday!) it's a christening invitation for my cousins baby boy, he'll be 8 months when he's christened. I made a nappy cake when he was born so just wondering really if anybody has any suggestions for a christening gift I can make because Ican't really give another cake...can I?!

Bella, your stall looks beautiful. Congratulations on all the sales!

I make a christening cake which doesnt include nappies - pic below - HTH

Wow wow wow this all looks amazing! Well done! I am so impressed with all of it!

Do you mind if I ask (everyone) how much you charge for different things. I have been dallying with this and real cupcakes and chocolates and stuff and am getting quite a lot of orders now but really have no idea what to charge for stuff! Thanks all.x
What sort of things do you make if you have some photos of it it may help to be able to put a price on it ;)

Been to my local Asda and first time they've had the Ellies for £1.50 each - they had loads!!! Bought quite a few but left loads too!!! Soooo funny though - little girl behind me kept saying to her mum & brother 'look how many cuddly toys that lady's buying'!! :rotfl:LOL!!! Seriously won't be needing any soft toys for a while!! Mmmmmm although tempting to go back for more LOL!!! as I really do love 'em!!!:rotfl:

Oh My Goodness.. I go away for the easter weekend and then when i log on I find I have 16 pages to catch up on. some reading there ladies. some good , some bad but thankfully i see the outcome is that we are all back to helping each other.

rusty I haven't used knitted blankets but did have a lady offer to crochet some shawls for me. Not quite sure how they would look on the cakes as I think they'd be too fine, if you know what i mean." WHEN" I get time I am going to borrow one to have a play.

Moonpenny Ihave used some hand knitted garments for a while and just before xmas I did quite a few with cardigans, bobble hats and matching mittens.
i used the cardy on the bottom tier, mitts on the middle and finished with the bobble hat perched on the top . They really did look so good and different. not the time of year now to use the full set so will save them for later in the year.
  • I went to B & M this morning before work and they had the bobbly blankets but only pink! I bought a couple but they also had some pram sized cellular blankets for £1.99 so I got a couple of blue ones and a couple of white ones of thsoe too. I also got some lovely pink pram shoes for £1. No toys though, so I still don't have a better one for my orange and lemon cake.

I'm still undecided on the cake for the christening, although I'm sure it would be lovely, I just think they have already had one from me.

    Hope everyone is well.
