Thanks for that, The vest is so little though and when I fold it it does not fit around the nappies!0 -
I've just started making my 1st nappy cake for a friend who's expecting in August and finding your advice and piccies inspiring so thank you very much everyone!!! I'm being held back at the moment by the fact that I want to do it themed in pink/blue but her scan has been postponed!!
Anyway, I was in Sainbury's this morning and they had some gorgeous white velour 'bobbly' blankets. Should be £8 but there's 25% off all TU until Monday so they were £6. HTH!
Em xXxMummy to two gorgeous LO's and always in search of a bargain!!!

Hi Can I ask what size vest/clothes you are using? Most of us tend to use bigger sizes I believe. I always use 3-6 months and they won't go around the full cake however they will cover the front like on Candys picture
Think I have already said it but will say again, good luck to all those who have fairs
I have just finished 2 cakes, a blue single tier for my sister, and a 3 tier winnie, The red ribbon looked rubbish so I went with Brown and then covered it in some white organza looks quite nice, Thanks Becs for the brown suggestion! I am not normally one for using browns but quite like it on the cakesRaising kids is like being held hostage by midget terrorists0 -

Oooh Rusty - your Winnie the Pooh cake looks gorgeous - love it with the brown ribbons - it works really well!!
Love the Matalan patterned fleece - I've got that one too just haven't made it up yet but they make a nice change from plain ones don't they!! Haven't been able to find the pink butterfly again and really don't think I can bare to part with the one I have :rotfl:0 -

Thankyou Popkins & Yummy mummy
I am still undecided about the pooh cake, it looks nice but just think it could be different ... still I musn't complain
My blue on in the pic above I think looks gorgeous wrapped!! I really am happy with that one. Amazes me how a cake can look so different with a different teddy on it, I have pics on OH's pc with an ellie on it and it doesn't look as good as the one above!
Bella - quick question, I noticed you had a giraffe cake (think it was a luxury one?) on your site, what is the ribbon you used? I want to make up a neutral cake with a teddy I got yesterday but don't want to use standard ribbons i.e spots or ginghams, I was thinking giraffe print would be too much but don't want it to be boring and plain either?Raising kids is like being held hostage by midget terrorists0
