Just a plain ribbon? or patterned? where do you think would be best to use it though?
I was wondering if I tucked the hat on the top tier away and left them as open nappies with just ribbon? I don't know if I just need to sit and play but I can't buy the stuff til tomorrow and have to have it ready for saturday night on the offchance my sis leaves whilst I am at workRaising kids is like being held hostage by midget terrorists0 -
Rusty i agree with Julie- could you use organsa red ribbon so the design still shows through a bit? Also you could add a winnie pooh soother onto the ribbon? maybe add a winnie pooh comb and brush set or if that is going to add too much to the price maybe some red sock roses between the two layers?0

Oh yes red sock rosesI Love My Computer Because My Friends Live In It0

Thanks Bella, I charge £40 for this one, but costs are about £30 so still making £10 on it, I could possibly add a soother but not sure I like the idea of it? My sock roses are pants
not sure where I go wrong with them! I will try and get some organza and some normal red ribbon tomorrow (Only colour I don't have typically) and see what I can come up with.

Julie - At car boots up here you are not allowed to sell new items
Becs - thanks, I am going to do a little stall at my works "ladies" evening in a few weeks and then stick to the local school fair etc. for the moment anyway.
Popkins - hope the sun shines for you tomorrow:D
Rusty - I have bought a plain cream blanket, Winnie the Pooh muslin, bodies and booties from Sainsbury's but like you I don't know how to dress it up. I was thinking of pulling out the red, maybe red ribbon, red flower etc. I know what you mean about putting coloured ribbon over the motifs. It's a shame to cover them up.0 -

I was going to have a go at making them too, tried the easter bunny & chick (got them off a tutorial website) made them for my own use. But someone has asked me about pint and I dont wanna tread on anyones toes, thats why I asked before I advertised my 3 Tier cake on ebay. I think this site, especially this thread is one of the most crafty and friendly, helpful ones that I have every come across. Us newbies ask for help and receive lots of it from all the experienced ones on here. Lets stop the fall outs and bickering.
Its nearly EASTER!!!0 -

Here is the last one
I planned to use coloured ribbons last time but the seethrough worked best so left it at that and just used florist ribbon on the bottom tier. Ideally I would like to have the outfit on the middle tier on show as it is in this cake .. but I just want it to look different.
I also have a possible order for another cake from my sis, this will probably have to be at cost and she says about £15 max so need to play and see if I can do a 2 or 3 tier which still looks good.
ahh thats excellent! my sis would love that!:rotfl:im not allowed to say what i think so ner!:p0 -
