Well that's not much help! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
I've seen them on all these websites that rave about how good they are and how they easily fold away! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
I vaguely got it twisted earlier but still not small enough for the bag!
Another question how have you tried lighting yours? what sort of lights? Tent was a bargain at about £14 but if I have to spend a small fortune on lighting it won't be.:(0 -

Hi Shelley
Bit qiuet on here just lately. How are you doing with your second craf fair? Is it still going to happen?
Went to Wilco's yesterday and by accident came across some boxes that would be ideal for posting. They were the suppliers boxes for stationary - files notebooks etc. There were a couple empty on the shelf and I thought an ideal shape and size to keep cakes in place "inside" the main box.
I decided to ask the superviser what happened to them and she wasn't much help. She accused me of emptying it but then came round and said the night shift destroyed them.
I was loaded up with shopping so couldn't do anything about it anyway and she wasn't helpful in the slightest.0 -
Hi Shelly,
Have you tried any lighting at all yet? I bought the 80cm cube and it's huge! No idea where the heck it's going to go now! I like the red background with it, makes the cakes look very posh! I'm going to have a fiddle and do some single tiers as only done one. I really want to do some more cupcakes but hubby is groaning about me buying more stuff as not mad back the money spent so far! Not far off it now once I do another one for work this week and my mum wants 2 but they'll only be cost ones for her obviously!
We went to sainsburys today and the circus things they had were good but I didn't buy any, may go back tomorrow though as nice and colourful!
Have you had any more orders from your event last weekend yet?

Hi guys - what do all you who make them to sell do about tax etc? I know its just abit of extra income on the side but I'm worried about getting into trouble if I dont do everything above board. Do you have to register as self employed and pay tax etc? How does it work? I'm confusing myself here!
To be extra careful you would have to declare any earnings, however if you think you will earn less than £4835 then you wont pay tax. There is a full explanation on the up your income board mystery shopping thread
My friend loved her nappy cake. We went on Friday, she was so chuffed. I've decided to make hampers in general for Christmas, so along with the nappy cakes I have to write a huge list of crafty type things to buy. I have some money in my paypal account so Ebay here I come! lol

Have quickly looked through but couldnt see any....
I got a 8 pack of clothing in Woolworths for a tenner yesterday and theres a blanket (to go around my bottom teir) and a few bibs / sleep suits which im thinking of putting around my second teir. Has anyone wrapped clothes around a teir before?
If so could you share pics as Im not sure how to do it!Green and White Barmy Army!0 -
Hello kr15snw
I find Asda are the cheapest and good quality for clothes. £5 for pk of 3 sleepsuits, White onesies are 3 for £1.50 etc. Matalan are also good for blankets, bibs etc as is Home Bargains.
I am new to this myself but the first cake I did Had a sleepsuit around the second tier. I found it a bit fiddly but just folded itto the height of the nappies and wrapped the arms around to the back, secured with elastic band until I put the ribbon on. (posted picture a few pages back - monkey one!)
Still not sure about clothes on front. I think it's trial and error till you get something your happy with. Post your pics!!!0 -
Moonpenny your pics arnt showing up anymoreGreen and White Barmy Army!0

I wrapped two vests round my second tier, one at the front and one at the back. Personally I think it looked nice! lol
