  • Hello Everyone

I posted on this thread months and months ago and showed some cakes I had made. I was thinking of selling the cakes at craft fairs but I never quite got there and have been away from MSE for several months due to RL stuff getting in the way.

I've been trying to catch up on the thread and this far I'm only up to page 170!

I made a cake for a collegue who went off to have her baby last week and I'm now unindated with 'orders'! I've never made a cake to sell before! Arghhh!

The first cake I need is for a boy and the lady only wants to spend £10. I've made this one:

    DSCF5307.jpg

    It has

    12 Nappies = £1.20
    1 Muslin= £1.10
    1 pair Scratch Mits = 40p
    1 Body suit = 80p
    1 bottle softwash = 95p
    1 soft lion = 50p
    TOTAL = 4.95

Do you think £10.00 is a reasonable amount to ask for this cake?
Am i being too greedy with proffit?

It's looks so small compared to cakes I've made before.

Thanks in advance and I am loving all of the cakes I have seen so far on the thread since I last looked, I'm off to page 171 now! lol
:love:11th March 2010- Got engaged to my amazing fiance, planning our wedding for 2012:love:

turned out more like roses but hey, they were well praised roses by the regulars on here. so thats something!.
I might test out cupcakes again with some tips ive had on here and donate to charity.
