Hi, it's mega windy here aswell! been crazy. I am from the north east. Live in Blyth, Northumberland. Easier to say the toon or newcastle as we aren't far from there really. If you could let me know the shop name that would be fab! Do you have a pic of the blankets?
Chatty I missed your new cream one amongst all of the other ones. Looks lovely well done.Raising kids is like being held hostage by midget terrorists0 -
Ooooh just wondering where you're getting blankets for £1? Most of mine are £3-£4 cheapest I've found is £1.99 from Dunelm!!
:T
I used to get some nice fleece blankets from B&M 99p, but on the last 2 occasions, they haven't had any.
I am sure others have posted that they've had trouble finding these now, so maybe they have stopped doing themA creative mess is better than tidy idleness0 -
JoJo that looks great - I bought one of those Baby on Board teddies the other day - was trying to put it on my cake earlier but its a bit tricky as it doesn't sit down!!!A creative mess is better than tidy idleness0

teddy's on (camera batteries flat so i can't post) nor know how to yet
just a quick question - do you decide how many different sizes, styles you
are doing then stick to them or just do what you fancy
its just we are doing a craft fair and rach will be wanting some leafets doing
i really don't want to get involved i prefer making my dog treats
but with her working full time i always do most of the ground work
thanks

Hello everyone,
Must start by congratulating you all on the fantastic cakes and gifts you have all been working so hard on.
I have made afew for friends over the last year thanks to the amazing advice on this site, the best bit is i was only able to read posts from a friends computer every now and then but now i have my own computer, try keeping me away:j.

Rusty Thanks for the comments but I had to let it go as they were waiting for it but I managed to tweak it. I changed the ribbon on the middle tier and added a couple sock roses. Once it was wrapped it looked so much better.
Its urprising how quick one can be made up when we have to.
Julie those are lovely as usual
Emmawelcome onto this addictive thread. Yes we are all obsessed with nappies, but thankfully they are nice, clean, sweet smelling unused ones Lol
But don't forget you have to post us the pics of your lovely creations.
Personally I get so much enjoyment by seeing everybody elses cakes as much as the enjoyment I get from making my own0 -
Rusty Am I right in saying you use huggies. If so which ones do you find the best. I have always used pampers but with the 1/3 off at sainsbury these will work out slightly cheaper, (not much but every little helps.) they dont do the large pamapers 104 pack like asda so i looked at the huggies. but there are soooo many to choose from it confuses an old mum like me.
I remember in my day soaking the terry nappies in napisan before washing.... yuck the smell.:rotfl: :rotfl:0
