    HI all
been out with daughter who is going to try and make some of these cakes (think i am going to end up doing them) so thought i would share with you what bargains we got
matlan - had baby shoes half price 75p but some were coming up 38p so got them (blue)
one of the £ shops had lovely blankets 99p either blue or pink with teddy embosed on
and some named cups and bowls (not sure of the name but rach says good ones)
hobbycraft - had bogof cello £1.99 had with love on looks cute
adsa - had the soft toys £1.50 and lots left (teesside retail) if its of any use
well off to get partner and sit in more traffic (took 45 mins to do 5miles)
a tractor overturned and we had to do detour
think i will be back later for help - she had gone home and left all the stuff
in my car to quote "mam i am having a baby and it needs to rest"
last week it was baby wants a big mac "I'm not bothered" but baby really
    fancies one

Hi Chatty no its me that wraps them in a tube of cello.

You wrap cello around the cake then tape it loosely at join then lay the cake down on its back and pull cello down under the base. Sometimes the layers come apart and the toy falls off but its easily put back on later. Tape the cello underneath and then stand cake back up. maker sure everyting is in palce again before tying git up at the top again. You sometimes have to undo that first bit of cellotape and rejoin edges at the side of the cake.

Did that make sense? Hoenstly it really does get a lot easier with parctice!

    B x

Bellag: thanks for that.. Well thats how I did it ..eventually, but without lying it down...I'm not sure I'm brave enough to do that.. It surprised me how much less cello is used that way tho....

    Can anyone help me please?

I am in need of a turquoise/white Ellie from Asda to finish off a cake. The blanket has turquoise/white elephants on it and the Ellie would be perfect to finish it off.

I try my local Asda daily and have tried the other two in town with no luck.

I will post down a cheque for the Ellie and the postage if anyone can help me.

    Thanks.

    Oh Irlip,

I'm so sorry! I've had one sitting in my drawers for months but had to use it yesterday as have run out of my Peter Rabbits! Oh what a shame you would have been more than welcome to it. I do have a beige one if that's any use?
