Ok coffee time ladies. have a break.


I have just wrapped one of the cakes and as one of my cello rolls was near the end there wasn't enough to wrap as I normally do, so I remembered Becs ( i think it was) saying that she wrappped by wrapping the cello around the cake. So I thought I would have a go with that method to use up this roll.
Oh my gosh that was a challenge, its a good job there was nobody in the house to listen to my swearing.. I do normally fold the cello underneath and tape securely without any problems, but gosh this time it nearly ended up on the floor so many times.
Becs do you have a small round table that you balance it on for the wrap around, mine is square and it just didn't work Lol.

Hi Chatty no its me that wraps them in a tube of cello.

You wrap cello around the cake then tape it loosely at join then lay the cake down on its back and pull cello down under the base. Sometimes the layers come apart and the toy falls off but its easily put back on later. Tape the cello underneath and then stand cake back up. maker sure everyting is in palce again before tying git up at the top again. You sometimes have to undo that first bit of cellotape and rejoin edges at the side of the cake.

Did that make sense? Honestly, it really does get a lot easier with practice!
