Hi Popkins, Your cake is beautiful and I wouldn't let the comments of 1 erson put you off. Thee are always going to be people who don't like this sort of thing but the majority do. Also, I think you are not charging enough! I would charge at least £30.

Am really annoyed this morning. Have just recieved an order of ribbons I placed where the delivery cost me £6.50and 4 of the colours are wrong. I ordered a satin

Oh no Moonpenny! Where did you order them from? Did the postage actually cost £6.50? I would get in touch with them and tell them you will return them and they will replace them for the right ones and refund you all postage costs. I hate it when people send the wrong things!

Thank you so much - lovely ladies!!! I feel better now! I didn't think it was too much tbh - when my friend had her little boy (the one who was a little negative) I paid about £40 to send her some flowers with a soft toy!! And these babycakes are soooo much more practical and lovely imho!!

You guys have cheered me up no end plus I spoke to my mum this morning and she said the same thing - plus she's soooo clever my mum cos I'd been trying to come up with a name I liked & I'd toyed with the name Fairy BabyCakes but wasn't 100% sure of it and when I said so to my mum in a split second she said Fariy Tails BabyCakes!!! So thats the name I'm gonna use - think it works - love my mum!!!

Anyways thanks again for all your lovely comments - I will carry on as planned!! My friend did say that she thinks that actually Boots nappies and Tescos nappies are really good too but I'm not sure whether I should just stick to 'Brand' nappies for the babycakes really. Off now to look at my 'Littlewoods' parcels that have just arrived full of babywear!!! thanks to OP who posted about them!

Don't want to put a downer on things but people are trading using that name already and so there could be copyright issues if you used same name

Not sure whether it would still be a problem or not, if they did find out that you were using that name then I know it could be very costly, i'm really not sure on the ins and outs in all honesty, but I know when I was deciding on names I had to search to make sure they weren't taken or not. Just a quick google will normally throw something up so you can check against that.

Just mean't to say as well how lovely your cake is - what items have you included? and how do you do your bows so lovely?

    thank you:o

i have just kept it simple as ive no one to give it to yet:rotfl:
it has 35 size 2 pampers
    1 fleecy blanket
    2 burp cloths
and also added some sock roses(1 pair)
    and the ellie teddy
for the bows i took someones advice from on here
they said they found it easier to do them off
so i gave it a go they were my first go at them:D

Don't think my braincells can think of anything else!!! any imaginative ladies out there - all suggestions welcome!!??

threelittlepigs - think I will have to look back & try and find that post describing how to do the bows!!

    Hello my lovlies,

Hope you are all well. I have seen some lovely cakes on here recently, keep up the good work ladies!
Popkins, try not to take the comment to heart. She's obviously not aware of the love and care that goes into them, never mind the contents. I think it's definitely worth the £25.

Anyway, Tesco's have 6pk white muslin squares, 2 packs for £7! Bit of bargain I think?

Also, please can someone help me find green silk type rose leaves?? Have been to Wilkos, no joy. No Hobbycraft, Dunelm or the likes near either. Anyone know where I can source them online??

Have made 3 cakes to order recently, will post me piccys later xox
