RF, I will stick up for anyone on this forum if I feel that other posters are being rude to them, that is not the nature of the forum. I can't see that there are any posts on here where Shelly has been rude to you and as I said if that was the case I would have stuck up for you. You have said in your last post that you didn't mean to be rude and yet there are at least 3 of us on here who read your post as being exactly that . Surely that in itself should make you question your judgement. I think you are being exceptionally petty and rude and are now spoiling the tone and the intent of this forum.

I agree - Rusty Flange, you can be very condescending when you answer a post. It was almost like you relished telling Shelley her photo was blurred cos she hadn't listened to you. O.K, You may know a fair bit about cameras but that doesn't make the rest of us idiots.

At no time have I witnessed Shelley being rude or offensive to you, or indeed anyone. She has always been helpful to anyone who has asked advice without being nasty.

why don't you just lighten up?

Ohh dear I stayed up too late tonight lol:o
  • Shelley has on several occasions been extremely rude to me yet people ignore that

Where on this thread has she been rude to you?

Do you know what ... I really don't know why I bother. You try to help people out and this is the thanks you get!

A couple of pages back, you asked for suggestions for what to put in a big nappy cake. A couple of us (including me) replied, yet you don't hit the thanks button. Now this doesn't bother me in the slightest, but i see you thank everyone who compliments you on your cakes?

Another thing i noticed was that you offered Shelley no words of support before her fair on saturday. However, you always seem to be quick to put her right. You are both regulars on this thread, and i was always under the impression we were all for the same cause?!

I offered the same comments about lighting and cameras a couple of days ago, and offered the same again.

We can't all be blessed with £1k cameras! I'm sure Shelley took your comments on board the first time you said it - there is no need to repeat yourself.

Am probably going to be seen as rude myself now, but where i come from several of your posts on this thread have been just that.

As forum etiquette states, Pls be nice to all MoneySavers. Even if you disagree courtesy helps.

    Rant over.

I did not relish it at all, I have already said my post was not meant in that way. It was late but I will not apologise for it and I most certainly have not said or made out that the rest of you are idiots!!!
If Shelley has always helped anyone who has asked advice then howcome I have asked questions which have been ignored? and also asked for suggestions which she hasn't responded to? Sorry I forgot one rule for one and other rules for me.

I apologise for not hitting the thanks button, but I honestly didn't see your post. Having just looked back at your post I have hit the thanks button, Infact I hadn't seen a couple of the posts with suggestions. I don't always see every post, and occasionally I forget to hit the thanks button. I didn't realise it was such an issue, why is it just me who you pick up on this? There are other posters who do not hit the thanks button, as there are other users who only thank when comments are made about their cakes. I know mine are far from perfect and that others do much nicer cakes, I am fairly happy with my new attempts and have since scrapped the last ones which look completely rubbish in comparison.
Another thing i noticed was that you offered Shelley no words of support before her fair on saturday. However, you always seem to be quick to put her right. You are both regulars on this thread, and i was always under the impression we were all for the same cause?!
Your right I didn't offer any words of support, She had plenty of support from other places and I was busy with my own problems. I didn't realise that everytime someone did something I had to offer words of support, Maybe I should start a new thread saying that I am going into hospital shortly and maybe I should demand everyone give me posts of support? or is that something completely different???

You are completely right we can't all be blessed with 1k cameras, that is why I don't have a 1k camera! nowhere have I stated I have a 1k camera I have however mentioned that my OH paid almost that much for all of his kit, he does a hell of a lot of photography just for fun and always spends loads on his kit I don't use his camera or any of his kit as I am scared to break it. I use my own which he bought for me just after our daughter was born.

Thanks to those of you who felt the need to send several abusive posts. Amazingly you couldn't put your abise on this thread and yet still felt the need to get nasty about my children.

It is the internet if you don't like what you read then don't read it, it is that simple. However there is no need for abuse like that, and certainly abuse towards innocent children. But hey maybe my children deserved it as did I. I find it amazing that when people read something then take it in a way which wasn't meant they feel the need to completely kick down the poster and pick out as many faults that they can find with that poster. I have asked for the posts of mine on this thread to be deleted and I won't contribute to this thread anymore. Please let that be the last of it so that everyone can continue posting their fantastic cakes.

Oh and one more thing, I completely missed pictures of Kizzy's cakes, they are fantastic! The ones with the flowers on are my favourite, Did you cover the top of your middle one with something? it has a lovely effect!

RF whether you meant to be rude or not your post most definately reads as extremely rude to Shelly and others. I know the forum is here to offer advice and support but there are ways of offering it.
It's very sad if you can't see that your post comes accross as rude and just accept that it does and apologise rather than getting stroppy at other posters.

RF I have to agree wholeheartedly with Becs.

You need to take time out! You have helped, you have supported, but you have received both and praise in return. I love seeing everyones pictures and efforts. You obviously enjoy what you do so why cut your nose to spite your face, take a wee bit of critisism(sp?) on the chin and move on! If you for some reason dont like a poster you can choose to ignore their posts(there is a button somewhere?but this is easier said than done believe me I have tried!). We are not all perfect and we cant like everyone. The written word can be very harsh.

    Hi guys,

I have been looking at the fab pics of everyones cakes in preparation of making my own. However I noticed that a few of you had toys that had "beaded" eyes which means small babies can't have them. I'm not sure what age this goes upto but I know my own dear son put everything in his mouth until he was about 18months or so.
