    Hi
I have been reading this thread with great interest as I have recently found out I'm going to be a grandma for the first time. I love the idea of a nappy cake and have found all the pics inspirational so thanks to all.

I am going to have a go at making one myself and I thought I would share a good find I had today. I picked up a packet of SEE-THROUGH elastic type bands that are ideal for individual rolled nappies. Once on the nappy you can't see them so you don't need to use thick ribbon to hide them.

I found them in Wilkinsons on the girls hair slides section. They are called TPU bands in a green and red topped packet - cost £1 for 800 small bands and 400 larger bands.

    Hope this helps somebody

    Congratulations!

Thanks for the info, I personally only use the bands to keep the nappies in place until i wrap them in the blanket etc, and then remove the bands. Good luck with the nappy cake, and dont forget to post pics.
