I usually average around 18 bottom tier, 14 middle and 8 top. But it all depends on what is put into the centre. i have used very much less and sometimes a few more.

    I use 35 Size 2 Nappies in a 3 Tier. (Rolled)
19 on Bottom, 10 Middle and 6 Top. I put quite a few items inside the middle of cake and I also use rolled stuff In place of some nappies. Otherwise, would be more than 35.

Just got an order for 2 cakes for the same woman who is buying them for herself!!!! She couldn't make up her mind so she wants a pink one and also a neutral one. (She is having a girl) Crazy! or what? Mind you, I am not complaining.

I found when I used Pampers nappies I needed maybe 10 more than Huggies.....maybe Pampers have found a way of making them less bulky so better for baby but more costly for in the cakes for us!
You'll make my day if I know I've been helpful to you in some small way,
so please press my :T thanks :Tbutton x

Nicky. i have just made this one up, unwrapped and without the cakeboard it has cost £12.00, costing in the ribbon. But of course I wouldn't ever sell for that price but just thought i'd give you an idea of how one could look.. if i took off the top tier it would come in to below the £10 mark

Ive just made my 3 tier in pink that someone asked me to do.... I did it kinda budget style, managed to get away with 30 nappies (instead of my 59), got the same pink blanket and bunny (as in your pic, didnt realise till ive checked up on this thread again), it also contains 2 washcloths, 1 bib, 1 vest, 1 pair of pram shoes, another cuddly blanket, and a pair of socks and scratch mits. In total it cost approx £13.64 and im selling it for £20.00 will post pictures in the morning. Also was asked today to do a bathtime cake.
