  • Hi Girls,

I've been wanting to build a nappycake for a while now and came across this thread by chance really.. Took me a week to get thru all the posts! You're all doing a fabulous job and some of the cakes I have seen on here are stunning. Gonna have a bash myself next week, wish me luck!

Anyway, just wanted to let you all know, that Sainsbury's has nappies, wipes, baby products. etc half price at the moment.. Might of already been mentioned, but just in case it hasn't, it's a useful nugget of info!

Nipped into Sainsbury's £74 of goods for just £36.91 and then used my nectar vouchers so got it all for £24.41:T

Bargainbabe, thankyou for the thumbs up! We nipped in to stock up, however it was only baby wipes and toiletries. Not nappies.

Nicky 321 your cake is lovely. Can I ask what the spotty bit is? it it a blanket or something? How much do you charge for yours?

for a rough guide on how to wrap things Rainmac kindly did this a while back ... she did it for hampers but nappy cakes work on same principle.

Hi Rusty, the spotty bit is a reversible blanket. I dont really know what to charge as yet. It has 59 huggies size 3, 1 vest, 1 burp cloth, 1 bib, brush, comb & rattle, 2 wash cloths, 1 pair socks, 2 blankets , teddy bear and a reusable cake board.
what would you suggest? was thinking somewhere in the region of £30 - £40.

Wow 59 nappies thats a lot lol .... you need to work out how much it has cost you then add some up ... will probably be nearer to £40 if you have that many nappies in.

Where did you get the blankets from? I love it!

    Love the christening cake :)

Thankyou Rusty. Blankets from primark, the bottom blue one is very soft. I got a deal with the nappies, got them from tesco. Total cost of cake with bargains I managed to get hold of was just under £18. Then I got Cellophane and Ribbon to add on, plus time, petrol etc. If I was working on 14p/nappy (which is more average when nappies not on offer) total would be just under £21. I dont want to overcharge.
