Thank you! I was going to ask about make of reuseables and then see if I can get some samples or something to start me off.

Depending on your budget for the cake ... but check with your local council as sometimes they offer an incentive for reusable nappies. When I lived in the midlands I got a cheque for £30 if I spent £60+ on nappies, it is only a one off but certainly helped. It is definately worth giving them a ring. I know it is a lot of money to outlay to start with though.

Maybe if there are a few of you who can club together for it? to make the costs a little easier? I used all of mine and got rid of the ones that hadn't been used on freecycle before I moved up otherwise I would have posted them down for you

    Hi Rainmac,

If you know what reuseables you want, let me know and I can see about a price for you as I'm registered with a couple of wholesalers so can get them at cost.

  • Hi Ladies

I know somewhere on this thread is a tutorial of how to fold the hooded towels but i'm struggling to find it....can anyone help me on this one???
  • If you lay it completely flat towards you with the hood down then fold the hood back, then if you keep rolling it back towards you at the height of the hood it will fold nicely and the hood will stay upright without having to be pinned down.

Hope that makes sense. I wrote down the same instructions for one of the other girls a few pages back so maybe if you search in this thread for posts by me you will find it if the above doesn't help.

I remember you saying you get your pull bows cheap. sounds good.

There is a big warehouse the other side of gateshead and I try to go there as often as I can as their website has rubbish stuff on and never what I want. I get big 28m rolls of cello there for about £4 which is cheap! ribbons and stuff are expensive though so I have an account with a haberdashery company for that. I reckon they will have organza bags though just haven't got up there yet so ordered off ebay. I might have to arrange another cuppa with BunBun and go to the big warehouse .... we both mentioned last time about going up there so could be fun :)
