Hi s23xy_c,
I used to use double sided tape under my toys (but only if I was sticking to stuff underneath that wouldn’t spoil- top of talc etc)
Now I use tiny wooden pegs I found in Wilcos. I put a piece of card or stiff paper in the top opening (going about 2 inch deep) to support the back of the toy. Cut a v shape out to lodge the tail in, and fasten tail to the card with a little peg. I find this is enough to stop it moving about. If you can’t attach the tail, then do the same with toy label.
Irlrip, For leaves, I bought cheap bunches of artificial flowers from Wilcos or somewhere and took them apart.
Nicky321, Your cake is gorgeous! It’s lovely when you can go mad and use loads of stuff rather than have to think of costs etc. I’m sure they will love it.
Rusty your cake is so sweet. I like your new style! No! I havn’t got round to a photo tent but still want one. Putting it on hold as I need to splash out on ribbons & cello etc.
Groovygirl – I’m sure your neighbour did love your cake. It is lovely. Well done!0 -

Will have to sell a few more cakes first I think, or at least get a job.
Still I have an interview on Thursday, so fingers crossed.A creative mess is better than tidy idleness0 -

I made my first nappy cake earlier today and rushed it a bit. Then I showed the finished product to a friend of mine, shes emailed a picture to her friends and already people are asking for prices!!! I must be honest, I just thought i would "give it a try" and didnt realise my attempt would be so tempting. I did not price up my cake as I made it and got a bit carried away because its for my sons baby girl. I think i will have to get cracking and make a few samples, maybe 1 tier, a 2 tier and a 3 tier cake, making one cake of each colour pink, blue and lemon (with white). I have also been doing a lot of googling and I am tempted in having a go at making baby clothing bouquets and mum to be pampering cakes. Thanks to all the girls on here for being my inspiration!0
