    Hi s23xy_c,

I used to use double sided tape under my toys (but only if I was sticking to stuff underneath that wouldn’t spoil- top of talc etc)
Now I use tiny wooden pegs I found in Wilcos. I put a piece of card or stiff paper in the top opening (going about 2 inch deep) to support the back of the toy. Cut a v shape out to lodge the tail in, and fasten tail to the card with a little peg. I find this is enough to stop it moving about. If you can’t attach the tail, then do the same with toy label.

Irlrip, For leaves, I bought cheap bunches of artificial flowers from Wilcos or somewhere and took them apart.

Nicky321, Your cake is gorgeous! It’s lovely when you can go mad and use loads of stuff rather than have to think of costs etc. I’m sure they will love it.

Rusty your cake is so sweet. I like your new style! No! I havn’t got round to a photo tent but still want one. Putting it on hold as I need to splash out on ribbons & cello etc.

Groovygirl – I’m sure your neighbour did love your cake. It is lovely. Well done!
Thanks, dont have a wilkos here but will have a look for the pegs else where

    Can anyone help?

I am looking for leaves to finish off my sock roses but can't find any.

    Thanks

    Irlip,
I put leaves with my sock roses too. Have you tried a Dunelm mill? they sell loads of artificial flowers and have roses too- you would just need to snip off the leaves- works out cheaper and no postage either.
Are you putting leaves on your cakes?

  • I've been lurking for quite some time and have finally registered! I love the nappy cakes and have been so inspired by everyone's photos that I decided to attempt my own for a friend's babyshower tomorrow. Here's the evidence:

    Question for Bellag,

As you use paypal on your website too, is there anyway you can offer discount codes? Main reason is for multiple cakes it charges 2 lots of p & p where I would only like to charge 1. Also at the show I did I wasn't charging p&p but there was no way of discounting it so I had to charge then refund the p & p which was a pain.

Becs if you use paypal shop builder for your website you can double up items and adjust postage accordingly, this allows you to do what you want to do.

I am using paypal shop builder on my website :)

Sorry I know you asked Bella but I thought another answer might give you something else to think about ;)

    Hi Becs,

you can as Rusty suggested adjust the PP costs according to number of items bought however I dont as i send my cakes in seperate boxes and so it costs me 2 x in postage so pp isnt any cheaper if people buy more. If people live in greater manchester I offer free pp for orders over £35 so they always either email me or ring me first and I then send them a paypal invoice minus pp costs. Thata seems to work absolutely fine.

When I do my fairs I use a seperate webpage I have set up that only I know the address to (no link buttons on my website to it). This page has all the paypal buttons for all my cakes without pp costs so I can just click on them and not have to worry about refunding postage etc.

I hope that all made sense Becs- if not catch me on facebook i'm logged on hun.

    B xx
