I've been lurking for quite some time and have finally registered! I love the nappy cakes and have been so inspired by everyone's photos that I decided to attempt my own for a friend's babyshower tomorrow. Here's the evidence:

Just a quick Q for those who do fairs - what payment methods do you accept? Do you just accept cash or do you accept cheques to?

    Thanks!

Hiya, yeh I accept cheques as long as they look trustworthy lol- dont like to turn customers away and my bigger cakes cost loads so people dont tend to have that amount of cash on them. I've not had a problem so far with cheques. Another thing you could try if you have mobile broadband is take your laptop and take paypal payments. Your customers dont need a paypal account to pay this way either.

As a newbie to selling nappy cakes I wonder if you seasoned pro's might answer a few questions for me???

    * What sort of fairs / markets do you tend to sell at?
    * Did any of you build your own websites?
    * How do you tend to get most of your business?

Hope you don't mind me being nosey but really need my new business to work!!:D
 Thanks to everybody in the crafting threads who inspired me to start my own business!!
