Dopeydora they are lovely
I just had a quick fiddle and came up with this (Stole ideas from the link Candy provided)
I think I could make another small tier on the top or could use a teddy to finish it off. There are loads of variations that could be used with this one and not necessarily for twins, it would make a lovely gift for just the one baby. Anyway what do you think? I decorated it quickly with a lily and 2 roses in blue, one set on each side but obviously this is far from finished but it was mainly to give me an idea.Raising kids is like being held hostage by midget terrorists0 -
That is lovely, great shape. I like the teddy cut out on the side. A teddy or soft toy or two would finish it off nicely as the little roses look a bit small. great idea for twins!

Ditto, thats why it is unlikely that I will have anyone to give a Nappy Cake to for a long time!!0 -
Well I have a nappy cake to start getting bits for. Friends of OH is due in Feb which gives me ages and I want to make a massive one for them as they have been very close friends to OH for years.
I am thinking an outfit, a vest, a sleepsuit, a bottle, a rattle, a teddy, some socks some booties and some toiletries. Not sure how to put it all together as yet but will come up with something nearer the time. Does anyone have any ideas that I could add to it? Hi everyone,
I am having trouble with bulky blankets round bottom layer of cake (where it meets). Wondered if anyone has any tips for a neater finish so it's less bulky!
Also, Has anyone seen any white sheep/ lambs on their shopping jaunts. Have looked high and low and can't find anything.
P.S. Wilcos were selling their new Pooh Bear range - 2 for £6. They were £4 each. I got some lovely rabbits in 2 sizes from Card shop and some little Humphreys Corner elephants from Home Bargains for 99p.0 -

How about something that could be kept long term ...... ummmm, maybe a money box, photo frame, or maybe the ornaments for keeping the first tooth, or first haircut etc in ????
Its nice when I see things that my daughter still has now, remembering who bought them for her when she was a baby.A creative mess is better than tidy idleness0 -

but managed to get a plain white rabbit in TK Maxx, they also have some really pretty yellow fluffy ducks if anyone is interested at £2.50. I didn't buy any myself as didn't have any use for them but they would look really nice on a lemon nappy cake.0
