  • Rusty that's really nice, very unusual, I like the teddy cut out on the front to. They had nice baby pop on booties in Boots in clearance today blue or pink £1 and they went up to 6-9 months. The pink ones had flowers on but the boys one had a teddy face a bit like your cut out, really cute

You are all making me quite homesick talking of all these shopping bargins ..... I'm trying so hard not to wander onto the flight sites, I WANT TO GO SHOPPING TOO in Home Bargins, Wilkinsons, Tesco's, Asda, Dunelm, and, and, and ....... !!!
Then again, if I came over I could try and pinch that lovely nappy cake cloth off Shelly!!! :rotfl:

Mind you, I am currently surrounded by 5 nappy cakes, 1 toilet roll cake, loads of flannel cakes, mugs with sachets in, jars of nothing ..... maybe I'd be better off working out how I am gonna off load them, and get my money back! I have noted today that there are two fayres coming up, so fingers crossed I could get a stall :rotfl:
A creative mess is better than tidy idleness :D
  • Been having a bit of a fiddle this afternoon, what do you think? I used a pack of nappies I had from a friend, ribbon from a present I was given and the bands are those tiny hair bands that mil insisted on getting for DD, but they pull at her hair.

I have some freebie baby toiletries but couldnt fit them in very well, will try it with a two tier.

    Nappies - free
    Ribbon - free
    booties - matalan £1.50
    Blanket - matalan £3.00
    Yellow muslin - ebay £10.48 for 12DSC01582.jpg
    DSC01583.jpg
    Debt free wannabe
Littlewoods - £214.82 (DD set up so 0%)
    Very - £100 (0% on BNPL - 1/4/13)
    CC - £2600/£3533.53 (0% until 1/6/14)
  • This is my two tier, god I can see this being addictive, I already want to visit matalan again right this minute so I can try out a pink one.

  • To hold my edges together on the cupcakes I have used a baby safety nappy pin which I think looks ok with them.
  • Well I have a nappy cake to start getting bits for. Friends of OH is due in Feb which gives me ages and I want to make a massive one for them as they have been very close friends to OH for years.

I am thinking an outfit, a vest, a sleepsuit, a bottle, a rattle, a teddy, some socks some booties and some toiletries. Not sure how to put it all together as yet but will come up with something nearer the time. Does anyone have any ideas that I could add to it? I have 6 months to plan :)

You could include a 'sleeping bag' - not sure about others with little ones, but these have been a god-send for me. How about a rainmaker to do up the middle (my dd loves hers), or a birth certificate holder? Some pampering stuff for mum - body butter for tummy, a favourite cd to make feeding in the night more relaxing etc?

Just arrived back from the festival and it was fantastic. I sold eight and took about 100 cards to give out and they all went. Had fabulous reviews and lots of people said they will be ordering in the future. Really shocked that I sold so many as it was a local carnival day and didn't expect a huge turnout cos of the weather. The field was a nightmare (like Glastonbury) and they even had a tractor pulling the cars out of the mud it was that boggy !!!!! But the spirit of the valley people is tremendous and there was a fantastic turn out even though the it rained on and off all day. I was lucky I knew so many people there so that helped too. Glad I took my wellies though!!:D:D:D
Here is a pic of my stall:

Check out the hideous floor covering we had to use to stop the mud going over the tablecloth x Going to put my aching feet up tonight x
