Yes i did see them they are a little like mine  i dont want to give up selling on ebay but i am getting fed up with the copying

I thought they were yours to start with ... then when I saw the proper picture rather than the gallery I saw they weren't as good ... don't give up on the selling as once someone has bought something from you they will probably come back time and time again :)

  • ok ladies - please don't shout - i'm in a pickle - upon doing a nice little basket for mum for xmas she wants me to now put together a hamper for the baby and mum as well as a nappy cake - now the hamper - no probs could do that with my eyes shut - however eeeeeeeek the nappy cake - i've never done one. i've tried to read through this but i'm so tired, and she needs it by tomorrow afternoon so no time to read through the 100+ pages. I'll have a look at the basics, but can anyone suggest what to put in? i'm going to do just a single tier seeing as i've never done them before and my budget really is on the hamper. Can someone also direct me the way to the instructions for the little sock roses, and cupcakes and so forth? i like all these unusual things that can be done with socks - and if i remember rightly there was a t-shirt in a bottle at one point???

anyways ladies THANK YOU ALL in advance. - any tips would be very grateful :)

    Hi,

There's a video on youtube which shows how to make a nappy cake, although it is a big three or 4 tier one the principle is the same. It also shows how to make the sock roses.
    http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=vfwaaNjxUhY

For the sock cupcakes I use 6 pairs of socks but can use only 4 pairs if using the thiscker socks. Basically just sort of fold 1 of the socks lengthways then roll up and secure with a band. Then take the next sock and do the same again but rolling it around the outside of the already rolled one. Then you just need to pull it about a bit on top to flatten it and make it more cake shaped. I bought some buttons from dunelm that look like cherries and I put these on wire and thread through the middle of the rolled socks. I've done fairy cakes and what everyone else calls "belgian buns" becaiuse they're bigger in the muffin cases.
