    Hello everyone,

I have been reading all your posts and looking at the lovely cakes they are so beautiful and classy.

I did my first nappy cake back in May and havent done any since as i didnt have anyone to do for,but a friend has now asked for one in green which the recipient loves!

Can anyone tell me truthfully what they think and if it looks ok in green.

    Thankyou
  • Thank you ladies, you are all an inspiration,

  • Hi Emma
I think your green cake is really nice,
May I ask what type of nappies you use, I have used Pampers but they have a pattern on them which I find difficult to conceal ( the tops of the nappies I mean )

    cheers

I use the pampers size 2 too. I agree Emma green has never been my favourite either but saying that I love lime green. I've got some lovely spotted lime ribbon and that always looks nice on the cakes.
Heres a link to one I made for a 1 year old using lime and flowered ribbon based upon a Fifi theme x

I found it so difficult to get a green flecce and bits to go on it,i had to give up with a green teddy in the end and went with the cream Asda elephant.I hadn't thought of spotty ribbon but it sounds lovely.

And give me some advice on towel folding?

I'm about to attempt my 2nd nappy cake as my cousin is due next week.

I have a tigger towel and can't work out how to fold it so the hood is at the front and the rest wraps around

Any pointers would be mucho appreciated

  • Hi
I am not sure what te towel looks like, but if the motif is in the corner could you fold it like a triangle, then fold the triangle intoa strip,
not sure if I am explaining this correct,

    hope you get sorted

    cheers
