And give me some advice on towel folding?
I'm about to attempt my 2nd nappy cake as my cousin is due next week.
I have a tigger towel and can't work out how to fold it so the hood is at the front and the rest wraps around
Any pointers would be mucho appreciated

Hi em,
I have done these before ... lay the towel face down so tigger hood is on the floor, then fold back the hood back towards you so that the face is now up and level. Keep folding the rest of the towel a little shorter to the first layer then wrap around your cake. If you plan to use ribbon you can actually get it behind the hood so there are no ribbons showing at the front and the hooded part of the towel will stand freely

Well I have had a fun couple of hours, after deciding to slow down on the nappy cake side of things for a while I spent the last couple of hours re working the ideas for my cakes. I now have an idea of contents, I have prices (I have put them up!!! eek but everyone says I need to charge more so will give it a try) and big thanks to Shelley for sending the link to the photo tent I managed to persuade OH to buy one for me
Hopefully it will be delivered fast ... I might sit and have a play with nappy cakes over this next coming week then use the tent to photo them
The green cake is lovely ... not my colour of choice but completely different! well doneRaising kids is like being held hostage by midget terrorists0 -

Oh Rusty that is gorgeous! Well here's my attempt, honestly I nearly threw it out the window in the end my OH helped me get the blanket right and it still doesn't look that good, I'm just praying when it's all cellophaned up it will look ok, I still need to get a pink sponge for the front.:xmassmile Looking forward to December:xmassmile0

Hi Hels,
Can I ask have you got any nappies on the inside of the cake? When I make these I have my layer of rolled up nappies in a ring and then wrap the towel around that and then create a hole in the middle for the toiletries. If you find this fiddly just do a tier with say 15 - 20 nappies, wrap it and then take out nappies to replace with other goods. I also think you may need to fold the towel a bit more so it is not so tall. Try doing this and see how you get on, it is all a matter of trial and error, but once you have a system of doing them you will be fine.
Julie H - Was on e-bay last nite and well done to you for comment on listings re copying. It is getting a bit much now all the jams and other stuff coming out after you originally put them on.
U must be naffed off but proud that you created them in the first place!0 -
