It looks fab, and really professionally wrapped, well done! :)
My LO has been down for a nice sleep this morning, so I managed to get the first tier of the one I'm doing for a gift done. It looks lots better than the first one I did (a trial, just for me).

Nice web site Becs. Only thing I would say is text is too small on ingredients, but I think you mentioned you were going to fix that.

Rjh090384, I use double sided tape to stick florist ribbon, but I use a hot glue gun for proper ribbon. It’s just a little one for card makers that I bought from Wilcos.
I know what you mean about getting glue everywhere, but the secret is to be really quick!
I get all my bows etc ready, or for example, if I am gluing ribbon together at the back, then I hold it in place with tape or a pin, leaving enough room to glue.
Have a bit of card at the back of what you’re gluing so the glue doesn’t go through. Don’t use much glue, just be quick and press it straight away.

Chrisbethany & Natbag – the blankets are similar to those in HB but they were cheaper (and a bit bigger which caused a few probs folding) and they are really furry on the inside too. Yep! I got my rocking horses from Hb

Julie H – surely there must be similar shops where you live! Maybe they go under a different name!

Leni love your new cake! I especially like the soft colours.

Shelley - 20% off M&S tomorrow! Also, (don’t know if your interested) but Max Bear in Asda is down to something like £1.49

    Hi Shelley,

Thanks, I'm hoping to get a few orders out of it. Still have a fair bit of stock left. 4 more 3 tiers and I'll have broken even from my very heavy spending! Anything more than that and I'll be in profit! Not worrying too much as sure they'll go eventually!. website should be working www.becsbabycakes.co.uk I left the www bit out of last post for fear I'd be jumped on for advertising!

    Thanks Moonpenny,

It's a relief to get it over with now I have to say! Next thing to get out the way is MRI on thursday-god I hate those things and dh can't come because he has a meeting he can't cancel so just have to whimp it out on my own!:rotfl: WHen that's done I just have Christmas cake and pudding to make and a 4' gingerbread man!

Hope you didn't think I was being picky about the spellings, you did ask to let you know and I saw a couple.

Becs can I also ask who you got your website through? was it a package you bought??
Glad it went so well for you. Really chuffed for you.

MRI scans ... I have had loads of them, and forsee another million coming my way ... I managed to fall asleep in there once I was that bored :rotfl: Hope it all goes ok for you.

Probably not going to be around for a few days, tomorrow is court day with my sons real dad and I can already forsee problems as he hasn't bothered to make contact since sept with his son!

Fantastic new cakes everyone :D Well done

    Hi Rf,

No I didn't mind at all, I was very glad you did. Always easier when a fresh pair of eyes looks at it!

I've had 3 now and have to have 1 every 6 months now so you think I would be used to them as well. Once it's underway I'm not too bad but just the build up to it.

Good luck in court, I hope it's not too bad for you.

p.s. forgot to ask dh which hosting package he used. I registered the site through 123reg but dh uses a different hosting package so will check with him and let you know.

How's this for a work in progress? It's a gift for H's cousin and his wife (their baby blue is due sometime between now and new year).
Just waiting for the ribbons to arrive by post to finish it off now (the ribbon round the top layer is just to temporarily hold it in place!)
Do you think the colours are ok? Or should I put the blue blanket around the middle layer?
    Any hints/tips gratefully received!
