Thanks Rusty, just had a look, I grudge paying that for a board that just sits underneath the cake and will be chucked out without even being looked at. I just stick with what I do now, cardboard circle with doillie from the poundshop.

No probs. The single tiers I have just made don't have any boards underneath them and they have stayed perfectly well together.

I have tried looking on ebay, who is the seller for these card boards? Love your tablecloth and good luck with the festival, let us know how you got on

Thanks - question already answered. I think there are quite a few available on there.

How much do you sell your single tier for?

I haven't decided yet - still sorting out all my costings. The ones I've made up are trial ones.

Can you let me know when you have a rough price idea... Just want to see if my costs are about right.

Firstly, WELL DONE to everyone - your cakes all look amazing! Before I saw this post I'd never heard of nappy cakes and now I'm getting excited about maybe trying to make a few myself!

For the people who have been selling them - are you finding that there is quite a high demand for them? Are you only selling them locally? If so, how do you advertise?

The whole idea has made me quite curious - I've been thinking about starting up a little pocket money-making business on the side and think these cakes are wonderful. What sort of profit are you all making on them? Is it worth all of the time/hassle etc that you are putting in to them?

Sorry for all of the questions! Thanks in advance! :kisses3:

I sell mine for £7.99 but they have more nappies in than yours whereas you have the teddy. I use the teddy on a nighttime one. for the single tier I use sock roses which I make myself. Mine is basically a budget one for those on a budget if that makes sense without sounding nasty to anyone who buys it.

Can I ask how you went about getting a stall on the local craft fair? how did you know about the craft fair. I looked into it up here but struggled to find anywhere locally which does this kind of thing.

I have sold loads, on ebay and also locally aswell as to friends and family. I haven't been doing it long but my prices are fairly cheap in comparison to some of the others, however I also make a bit of profit on these. To be honest the amount of profit doesn';t really bother me as I enjoy doing it and I know it is something I wish someone had bought for me when I had my 2 children.

I advertise in shop windows, on forums that I regularly visit. I have bought domain names and have a company logo/banner etc. I am about to make up a portfolio so that I can take things further. The other half wants to build me a website but at the moment we haven't had enough time to sit and do this. I have a file with pictures and descriptions in and when I do my other job I also advertise my nappy cakes there.
