    Hi Kr15snw,

I would say so, I go by ingredients as much as the appearance of the cake and your list of ingredients woudl definately make it worth that much in my opinion. Just make sure you put an ingredients card in the wrapping on show so that people know exactly what's in it.

The one I've just done for my friend on the last page has cost me £38! That is about what I was going to be spending anyway before getting bitten by the nappy cake bug! It has
    49 x pampers size 3
    1 x Fleece Blanket
    1 x Cellular Blanket
    1 x Muslin
    1 X John Lewis Sleepsuit
    2 x Asda Bodysuits
1 x Boots Mini Mode Bib
1 x Boots Mini Mode scratch mitts
    1 x Tommee Tippee Dummy
    1 X Johnsons Talc
1 x Waitrose Baby Bottom Butter
1 x Waitrose Solid Coconut Baby Massage oil
    5 x Wrist Rattles
    1 x Activity ladybird
    1 x Soft Girraffe

Now that seems an awful lot more than mine!!!

Ive been playing today and have realised I can substitute the wine for a large bottle of baby talc. Now does this make me a complete skinflint? Lol. Its about £2.50 cheaper, plus Im currently spending £4 on toys which I intend to cut down on (spec if I can get those elephants at £2.50 each). So I reckon I could save myself a further £4 on the big ones....

Would it then be really mean to charge £35? lol

  • Hello again...

LOVE the cakes that have been made in the last couple of days!
I have to warn you, my memory is terrible, so I can't do personal posts , but I love the giraffe on the last cake... my daughter has a comforter (flat cuddly toy type thing) that looks like its from the same range, any chance you could let me know where you got it please... other friends have commented on it before - Thanks

I said I'd add photos, so here goes
    wrapped
    See if that worked!
PS how do I get the picture rather than a link?

    Hi kr15snw,

That one is a one off and is because it's for a close friend whose little bundle of iminent joy has taken them a while to arrive! They tried for 2 years before she became pregnant and we used to share our TTC stories! So I've got very excited ofr her and gone a bit mad on this one! My usual 3 tiers have appx 33 nappies, 1 sleepsuit, 1 bodysuit, mitts, bib, hat, booties, fleece blanket, 2 muslins, 1 talc,1 shampoo, 1 dummy and 1 toy. All Asda, Dunelm and pound shop for johnsons bits so alot lower cost than this one!

Polobear the giraffe is from John Lewis from the Manhattan Baby range. It was £5.95 but is so gorgeous and soft! It is from the same range as they had the comforter in tehre as well. Couldn't believe how soft it was!
  • Hi ladies

Just thought i'd let you know in Home Bargains in Wolverhampton they have a gift pack of a soft toy giraffe and fleece blanket with a giraffe embroidered on it for £3.99

They only had cream and a light green colour
