can anyone show me a back view of their nappy cakes! mine look rubbish at the back. for the mini ones a cant secure the muslin right so it doesnt go all flappy and the blankets on the 3 tiers just arent hapening. how do u secure yours to look all neat!! help!!

Hiya - I was having problems with blankets too so then decided to fold them into triangles and then fold and wrap around the cake. This way you can tuck the ends into the folded edges of the cake and the back looks really neat. You do get edges showing but it looks ok.....hmmm sorry thats not a very good explanation is it!

heres the back view of the twins cake i posted earlier:

Natbag I really hope you don't have to wait too long for your new arrival. The last few weeks are torture aren't they. I was a raving insomniac on both mine!!!! My youngest was due on 3rd Jan 2006 on Christmas Eve I was rushed in and they nearly did an emergency c section because his heart rate was worrying , then it settled down and the little monkey refused to budge until 16th Jan and I had to be induced. That wait was soooo frustrating. Good luck and make a nappy cake to take your mind off it all :rotfl:

Hello Moonpenny thanks for your comments. Sorry can't remember what nappies mine were in now but they were both bompers Jake was 8lbs 12 and Harri was 9lb 3.5 . My memory is appalling :rotfl::rotfl:

Well girls I probably won't be on here much this week as its my birthday tomorrow and its going to be a manic day. Monday i'm off to Gretna Green for my cousins wedding and on Friday i'm off to London to see Dirty Dancing. So not much nappy cake making this week.

Shelley - I actually don't mind when he arrives, I have plenty to keep myself busy with thanks to this site! :rotfl:
I'm sure I'll change my mind once the annoying phone calls start though, any day now I bet.
Have a lovely birthday and enjoy your busy week.
