I'm well chuffed too- ordered 9 teddies fro M&S yesterday too! lol

Have also ordered my banner from the guy you recommended. It took about 5 proofs and lots of emailing but he didnt mind at all and i'm really pleased with the final design. Thanks Shelley!:j

I'm glad you got the banner sorted you'll have to show us a pic when it arrives. The guy is lovely and I would definitely use him again.
Hope the teddies don't take long to arrive i've got 3 outstanding orders for neutral ones. I've got 2 to do tonight - 1 pink and 1 blue so i've got to get cracking x

The card looks great but I would make the wording 'Nappy Cakes' bigger than your name 'Kris Wotton' as people are interested in what you do not what your name is. Just a bit of friendly advice :-)

Also, don't forget business cards have two sides ;-) so maybe on the reverse you can print a picture of a cake or an explaination of what a nappy cake is? Lots of people might not know.

Hi I ordered mine from Vistaprint and printed on both sides. I will take some pics later and post them. I agree with papworth you need to stress what you do so people are not confused.

Tbh I never use the rear of the business card. I literally just use the card for people to have my contact details, not to advertise the company as such. If I want to start advertising Ill get some leaflets done up. (just the way I work I guess).

Im only getting these done to give to people who I make cakes for. As my friend in work (who I did the last one for) said when she took the cake to the hospital (pressie for her daughter) she had lots of people asking about it and showing an interest. She did give them her number so they could get me through her, but if she had cards to hand out would have been handy :)

Lovely cake Kelly well done :)

I forgot to mention I went to the tommee tippee factory shop last week and it was fantastic!!! For both of my children I have used tommee tippee feeding items, bottles, cutlery, plates, bowls and even some of the rattles etc. Always find them as fantastic quality ... well anyway in the factory shop you can get cups and bottles for £1 !!! instead of the £3.99 or £4.99 they charge in the shops!!! If anyone lives not too far from Newcastle (which I don't think they do?) then I recommend a visit :D Just wish I had found out about it before my little girl needed everything!

  • So this is my 2nd cake not so flat looking now i think. I was using to many nappies before and the middle tier actually has the same amont of nappies as the bottom one but are a size smaller and the blanket makes the bottom one look bigger.

What do you think? i think it's missing something. it looks a bit plain, It's ok to give as a gift to a friend but i don't think it is selling standard yet. of course it will be wrapped up when i get the cello.

Kitiaracat that looks great! and I hope you don't mind me saying but it is so different to your first! I agree with Annegeddes that you could put some ribbon over the purple? it will give it a completely different look! I think it looks fab though!

Well I am heading down to the florists this afternoon as I need to speak to the manager about my nappy cakes as she is interested in them. :)

I am itching to make up another nappy cake but no orders at the min and none of my friends are due for another 10-20 weeks!

Try it with another ribbon on top and see if you like it - its always trial and error with ribbons until you come up with something you like x
