Thanks Chatty, Shelley and Rusty for your advice on the stall. I'm all a bit stressed out now- got sooo much to sort and do before next weekend and i've other stuff going on at the moment too which doesnt help! arghhh!Think I'll make and wrap one of all my cakes and a couple more of the unisex ones and Christmas ones. I havent even got a sign for my stall yet!Shelley- where did you get your sign on the back ofm your marquee from? I am guessing that if i get one done i can either stick on the wall behind me or if that isnt allowed i can pin it to the table cloth?I've ordered some card stands from ebay to display prices and ingredients and need to get some postcard size flyers printed off. Ordered a table cloth too which is huge to cover the whole table to the floor. i can hide a few extra cakes under it. Can you think of anything else i may need?B x

Wow everyone! I go away for a week on holiday and come back to this enormous thread with loads of newbies and lots of fab cakes!

Just a quicknote on fleece blankets especially for those of us without Primark Dunelm Mill are great. They do baby fleece blankets for £1.99 and are gorgeous.

BabyElla you're in Cambridgeshire same as me and there is Dunelm in Huntingdon and Peterborough so not sure if you're near either of these. I've started using their blankets and am really pleased with them.

I love ALL of the new cakes on here but especially the Christmas one Bellag and I completely agree about the Asda thing. I think their stuff is fantastic but feel if I'm selling the cakes that things ought to be either a less known brand or a brand PERCEIVED to be better quality. The ones I've done for work and things I have used Asda for but am about to do some quite upmarket fairs so need to look at contents more carefully.

Thanks Becs- wondered where you'd gone! lol
I have done loads of shopping for 'upmarket' brands and my cousin gets 25% off at John lewis so she is going to help me out there :D !

M&S, Debenhams and few other places ahve just had sales so managed to order loads of stuff from there- including 8 peice newborn startter sets for £9 down from £15 and they are gorgeous! ...didnt have any in sale for unisex sets but will keep an eye out and let you know. Did you get any 'upmarket' teddies from anywhere?

Some more great cakes from everyone. They are all looking fab!!

Chatty, I love your pink cake and your tag is lovely. That’s something I have to do – come up with some tags. Bought some hammered card but not sure whether to print pics of some sort or just the wording.

Could we have some pics of ingredient labels just for inspiration – anyone!!!

Bellag – I think your gorgeous Christmas cake is my favourite up to now. It’s good enough to eat!!!!

Here is my Creamcake I made today. I think it’s too pale! Might change the ribbons.

Oops – got to go my dinner’s burning.

I don't think you need to change the ribbons - it looks really classy and expensive.

Do you tie your bows? Wish mine looked even half as good as that.

Thanks for the best buys rusty - where's the best place for toys? I need something to go on the top of my first attempt for a 4 month baby girl - I'm using vests and sleepsuits rather than nappies for 1 tier but don't want to spend too much more.

I must stop going and feeling the pink primark blanket or it'll be all grubby - lol
Officially a non-smoker but still rounder than recommended :p

    Wow Moonpenny that's gorgeous!

Thanks Rusty, we had a lovely holiday in the lake district! Nice to get away even if we did have a couple of wet days!

Bellag can you lend me your cousin! :rotfl: I haven't got anywhere with Teddies yet but still working on it. I'm going to try a different tactic next week and ring the company I emailed about them as they've ignored my email! They do licensed teddies such as Beatrix Potter and Paddington. Failing that my mum can get me some from a wholesaler that she buys from www.magson.co.uk and they have some nice bears and animals which don't look obviously supermarket but not sure how much they are yet.

Becs, loving the blue and pink bears on there :) Wonder how much they are?

Toys are the biggest pain, very hard to find cheap!

Trying to find somewhere online for hooded towels at the moment. Like them more than blankets, but no luck as of yet!
