NSD - I'm aiming for 10 as I am on holiday abroad for 5 days and not so good at this target
Debts - 3 debts paid already and other 3 are on DD. Hoping to pay extra to my target CC as I received a bonus this month.
Budget - All inputted into YNAB, aiming for £290 for food which will be a real challenge. We have a lot of bills this month so will need to keep a tight hold of the budget
Exercise - I will aim for 3 runs a week increasing the time to 30 minutes each by the end of the month
Plan - Meal plan, exercise plan, healthy eating plan, budget, financial plan. I'm all about plans this month
Will attempt to check in every day but not next week when I will be on my sun lounger.
Today was not a NSD as I had an early start this morning and couldn't find my small flask so ended up spending £4 on 2 cups of tea on the train. DH will also have bought lunch (not a good start) but will have to wait until the contactless payment shows.
Save £10,500 - £2673.77 - 25.5%
Pay off £7000 - £1743 - 19.4%
Make £2021 extra income - £99.750 -
Today I am grateful for a nice visit with mum, for the sight of dd brightening up so many of the residents' faces, for helpful building societies/banks, for a good time out with family, for getting stuff out of the house, for tea with a lovely neighbour, for my toe continuing to mend well, for a fresh new month.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0

Not NSD - but only spends were the planned (and needed!) ones on haircut and eyebrow wax/ tint - total £32. Oh - forgot - OH spent £4 on 2 x Sains Leg0 albums - finally found in the 7th Sains shop!! Cue 2 very happy smalls, so very much worth it
Step count low - have been at hairdressers/ beauticians (both drive to places) and then cleaning bathroom, an hour and a half ironing and admin - not exactly heart racing stuff! Am currently at less than 6k steps, which is absolute rubbish
Thankfulness:
* lovely weather
* OH getting the books
* OH being determined enough to try several shops!

Evening all. Successful first NSD today, had to head into town to post a parcel, but it was for work so only the work card was flexed. Was almost tempted for a nice cold iced mocha in Costa, but I ignored the craving & came home for an ice pole instead.
Budget has been completed for this month. I don't get paid until tomorrow, but bf was paid today (he's monthly) so paid me his half the bills. He also paid some money back he owed me, so I popped it back into my car pot I borrowed it from. Just in time too as my yearly car insurance will be coming out next week

Set your budgets now Savings planned, holiday spends planned, treats planned.
3 exercise sessions a week I want to get back to running. I've been popping to the gym sporadically. Going to aim for at least two runs and one gym session a week.
Extra fitness session I'm going to try and hit 10,000 steps every day. I usually get around 7500ish, just one more lap of the park should be able to accomplish this
Plan your outings I'm starting the month off with a weekend away with my dad's side of the family for our yearly glamping session. Unfortunately it mainly involves food & alcohol. After this weekend there should be no other outings involving spending.
Reject consumerism I escaped the call of Costa today, lets hope it will last until the end of the month.

Lose weight
Since the beginning of the year I have lost 13lbs and am now out of the 200 club.
I am aiming for 1lb a week on average. Last month I lost a pitiful 1.6lbs, so want to make a serious effort this month.
Buy a house
Saturday will be 18 weeks since our offer was accepted. Average turnaround is 8-12 weeks, so I am starting to get restless. We are apparently awaiting just a couple of responses from the sellers solicitors. My aim this month is to pick up the phone and nag daily!! Debt Free as of 17/01/2009 Turtle Power!!

Happy 01st June!
First of the month and another fresh start... Budget set and I'm looking at my calendar and planning out my spend days in advance.
This month I will aim for 20 NSDs
I will strive to follow the NSK rules and be ruthless!
Today I am grateful for:- Time at work to catch up
- My car and the freedom it represents
- Peace and quiet at home
Today = NSD number 1
For my own benefit, I am going to re-cap my 2017 Goals:
1) Becoming Debt Free
New car = full tank of fuel (yay!) along with a determination to pay off the car sooner rather than later. I am part of another thread '1 debt in 100 days' and I'm going to set myself savings goals there to knock chunks off.
2) Exercise/Be healthy
Aim for 3 sessions of CV exercise per week (150 minutes +)
3) Mindfulness.
Be mindful for at least 10 minutes a day.
4) Mortgage
Payment to ISA and EF made.
5) Overcoming anxiety
Go to at least one social event with friends and/or a date. Money put aside in my budget for this to discourage social isolation.
⭐ DEBT FREE : 18/02/2025 ⭐
Follow your heart & be true to yourself always
My life is full of abundance and prosperity

Be kind - Eat well - Exercise - Be mindful0 -
Budgets set at £100 for food, £10 for travel (should be less) and Extras £20. I am not going to count taxis to mum's and back as spending, as mum usually reimburses me (generously).
Aiming for 20 SFDs - tough but tough is required atm.
Savings - have checked the bank account and savings aren't where I want them to be. My emergency fund is intact but it has not grown as much as it should. I think I need a new front window and still have one repair not done from last year's list. I have the money to pay for these but it would take a while (12- 18 months) to put the money back in the fund.
Day 1. First SFD. Walked to 'local history' session. This has evolved into something else but not sure what to call it (general 'thirst for knowledge' + mutual support?). Walked back home and made wraps. Walked to mum's (taxi back). Not enough sleep last night but did leg raises and other exercises in the dark whilst failing to get to sleep. I was very tired but couldn't drop off for several hours.
I have to get mum to an appointment on Wednesday of next week and on Tuesday the following week (8 and 10 miles away respectively) The drip anti-biotics have made mum feel better but as expected, not completely well. I think the restfulness of not having her partner there is helping. He is still in hospital, should be transferring to a 'step down' bed and we will see how it goes from there - if he settles in the care home, it would be a good time to make the move permanent.
Today I am grateful for lots of walking (not yet heart racing although the bridge made me breathless) in the sunshine (not too hot), for food from what I had in stock and for a calm and pleasant time with mum and my 'local history' partner. My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage0 -
Hope your cat is ok thrifty I'd wait and see about the claim as there's often follow up appointments and medication in my experience!
SFD and got loads of exam marking done, plus had a free feed at mum and dad's tonight
Tomorrow will be spendy as the electrician is coming to check a dodgy light fitting and I need to pay for car parking at a local country park when I meet my friend for a walk.
Hope you've all had a good dayLBM = 07/09/13 Debt = £13339 (100% cleared)
New roof and car £8557/£19003 New kitchen £396/£5039 Credit card Paid Student loan Paid0 -

Yesterday I bought some gf df things that I couldn't get at Lidlee on Wednesday. I also bought throat pastilles, cough mixture and a nasal spray. I went to the doctors late afternoon as it felt more than a cold - I have a throat infection and a weeks course of antibioticsMortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.8.25 - £106,362.86
