MAD half hour - put an alarm on your phone and spend half-an-hour on a bigger project
And, finally, it's school hols. Schedule in some me time - hair or nail appointment perhaps? - eyebrows booked for Thurs :D

Good start so far to today - have ordered new iron (with discount) to collect later. Waved OH off for the week at ungodly hour of 6.30 (before 7am shouldn't exist during school hols! :D) Got latest quarterly company figures done and emailed to accountant and hung out 1 x WM before driving to next town to visit accountant to sign off last year's co accounts and drop off personal tax stuff for 2 x Self assessments. Whilst I was in town (a rare occurrence) I paid in 6 x bankings for charity I'm Treasurer for, a cheque for expenses into my personal account (diff bank) and swapped DS1's new school shirts for next collar size up at M&S. Now home and have just had lunch (jkt pot with cheesey coleslaw) and am having a quick catch up on here before checking to see if there's enough washing to do another load and then doing some of the list. :)

Pigpen - sorry to hear about the furry friend :( - and hope the smalls are better soon

    Bedroom clean and tidy.
    Another "MAD" Frog eaten.
Meet'n'greet for new prospective guests scheduled.
"Me time" is more like "DH time" - he's decided he wants to see the new Pirates of the Caribbean film, so we shall be traipsing off to the cinema in a bit. *rolls eyes*

    Afternoon all.

FBO, hope you find another job soon.

This morning before the paid stuff I did the bedroom jobs (thanks Valli). No MAD stuff here today but I have got our finances up to date.

Tomorrow morning I will be doing the HSL.

    Have a great evening everyone.

(((Hugs)) FBO, and good luck with the job hunting.

I have helped at the holiday club, which was fun.
I have taken DH out to lunch/afternoon tea, which was delicious :D but very sweet and creamy, so it's a good thing that we went after weigh-in and not before - now I shall have to be really careful about what I eat in the coming week, or I shall be paying for group again!
I went and bought more food for the gannets coming tomorrow - mostly salad, so we will be happy eating up the leftovers.
I have sorted DS2's birthday present and card.
    I have made a phonecall.
And I have done the filling for the two cakes.
    That's about all.

Now I need to concentrate on my essay for an hour, and then I need to go and rid the front garden of dandelions in a MAD half hour. After that I have to make desserts for tomorrow and finish the cake toppings.

Tomorrow morning I will just have time to whizz round with a damp cloth, followed by DH with the hoover, before we go and pick up DGD1+2.

[Note to self: Stop procrastinating and get down to work! NOW!!!]

Fun day again.. spontaneous tears all round.. cried on the chicken because no one was fighting me for it.. I had to shove Cracker out of the oven or grill if I was cooking chicken.. then I kept checking for his daft self wandering out the front door when I left it open earlier.. the girls have fought and squabbled all day.. we've had bumped heads, pulled hair, scraped knees hysteria over gravy.. I swear any lesser mortal would be in therapy! 45 minutes to get through to fracture clinic to find out what time tomorrows appointment is.. OH has a job interview in the morning (better hourly rate, closer to home and better hours) and Dots appointment is at 3:20..

My house is a bear pit.. the laundry is all done though.. but that is all.. Twinkle is a limpet so I get nothing done.. it is driving me mad, I can't stand living in this mess.

well my aim to get organised a few weeks back really didn't happen, there was just so much going on in my life that there was no extra time for housework. however, craziness is over and i am now on hols from uni until september :j:j:j so it is time to take back my house from all the clutter and crap we have accumulated so i am back in for the rest of this week at a gentle pace and then hitting the soap suds and dish cloths from next week to get some sort of order in this house.

away to have a nosey at whats happened already this week and get my plans in place

Well I haven't done my MAD half hour and I'm too tired now... But my room is tidy, I've cleaned 2x sinks and loos, done 2x laundry (then it rained!) and done some homework. Fed everyone. Had a quick cuppa with DS friends mum, washed toothpaste out of DD hair, found missing jigsaw bits and Monopoly money :o:p

I'm not doing anything else tonight. Kids having a sleepover at granny's tomorrow so I'll really get stuck in my coursework, only 3 weeks left for me till September :T

Hoping the weather dries up, step count not great so far this week!

ETA just read back, did not find missing jigsaw bits and Monopoly money in DD hair, they were under the sofa :rotfl:

    Good evening.
((hugs)) FBO, and good luck with the job hunt. Good luck tomorrow to your OH, Pigpen.

I was at the paid stuff until lunchtime, dashed back, picked up DD to take her to get a hair cut. Then she felt the need for retail therapy but we did get her school shoes - result, and without great argument. Much needed as the sole wore through on her old ones right at the end of term.

Ticked off most of the bedroom list, except the vacuuming which will have to wait. Bedding is standing quietly in line behind the other piles of washing. One load run through tonight, DD's sleeping bag from the weekend has had an airing on the washing line, kitchen put to bed, and DW now running.

I finally decided that my MAD thing would be the front garden. Paperwork if it's miserable. For some reason, I decided this at 2.30 am!! So this evening I spent 30 minutes pulling out plants from pots, including last summer's very dead geraniums. :o Later in the week I will replant them in another MAD moment. The front garden is particularly unloved, so thank you Valli for thinking up MADness :T

Tomorrow we are planning a family outing...this NEVER happens  We're off to the big city for the day, so there will be minimal (actually, let's face it, probably no) flying tomorrow. I'm off now to research train times, as the first argument will be getting up in the morning times....
