Please you've taken to the MAD half hour - you weren't expected to start until tomorrow :rotfl:

Flippin good job Valli because all I have done is think about what I could achieve in my MAD half hour, not actually do anything!

Out to the seaside today with hubby, the boys and their girlfriends. What a great way to end a fab weekend, I am so blessed.

I did manage to give the bathroom a good scrub before we went out. House is reasonably OK, the kitchen floor could do with a going over.

Need to mealplan, I am spending far too much on food at the moment. Back to work tomorrow but only on job no. 2!

 Waving from the sidelines this week, but secretly wishing DH wasn't home alone  Will be setting out on our journey in the next hour or so.

As I live in a madhouse, I'm loving the MAD half-hour idea. I am a dot-to-dot type of cleaner as often a whole room fills me with dread, so this time constrained idea is just great!

Sorry to hear about old man pusscat Piggers. And hoping Dot's elbow mends well (and quickly).

    Right, off to herd cats...

    Morning All :)

A much needed day at home for me and the kiddies today. DH has gone away for work, so that's one less person to clean up after :rotfl:

I need to nip to the PO today but apart from that we will just be pottering around. I have already unloaded DW, done 1 x WM and dressed. Kiddies have eaten, and I will shortly have an omelette then do my make-up and get cracking with the list. No paid stuff until Friday afternoon :j

    Have great days all xx

    Morning all
I'm in this week, thank you for the lists natty and Valli

I had yesterday off as we had most of the kids and their partners/kiddies round so it was a hectic day but lovely.
Sunday was amazing the kids had bought us tickets to see the rock gods that are kiss at Birmingham. It was unbelievable I've just about come back down to earth.
I've joined fb after years of saying I wouldn't I. I right in thinking there's a fly group on there?

Anyway today's plan is getting the sewing machine out and finishing some crafting and mending then I'll do today's lists.

Massive hugs andcoping vibes for all who need them, I've missed you all and hope everyone is as well as can be. X

Morning all, and welcome back Bossy and mrs-mp - we've missed you both :wave:

B]Piggers[/B], I'm sorry to hear your old furry friend has crossed the rainbow bridge. Hope Squeak feels better soon - tonsillitis does drag on. I wonder how long that plaster will last on Dot's arm? (Bet it's not stopping her!)

This morning I am on placement, helping at a children's holiday-club-type event, but first I have to take DH to SW and leave him there until I can collect him later (he can sit through two sessions this week!!!). His leg is improving when it's elevated, but when he's sitting normally or walking it quickly swells up again :(
For lunch we are going to have the afternoon tea that DS1 gave me for Mother's Day :D
Then I have to go shopping for yet more food, as two-thirds of the family is descending on us tomorrow. That means preparing food this evening.
Hopefully I'll have time to do some more MAD half-hours concentrating on my loudly croaking essay. The deadline is 5th June, and I've done about a quarter of it so far - but I want it out of the way asap, particularly while the weather is cooler and more conducive to studying.
I must also download the sheet music that DS2 wants for his birthday and find some appropriate wrapping paper.

I will clean the house after the hordes have been and gone!

Hope everyone has a calm and happy day x

I'm unemployed. Went in this morning. Got my stuff. Got him to sign the legal bit and walked out.

Suppose that means I should be in this week as I have nothing else to do. Except update my CV.

I hope the future looks a bit brighter than you sound, FBO. (((hug)))

Lovely to see you back, Mrs MP!

Sorry to hear about all the mayhem in the Pigpen Household. Gut-wrenching losing a much loved animal. *Healing vibes* all round, I think.

I love the idea of MAD half hours and if I had the energy I'd be right at it. It's all I can do at the moment to just keep the place relatively tidy, the carpets sort of Kelpie fur free (impossible), and clearing up after Devil Cat who won't take his painkilling medicine on anything but beef which makes him ick if he has too much. The kitchen's not too bad and the bathrooms were given a really thorough clean last week so staying on top of them isn't too taxing. Still, my thighs and bum are tightening up with pounding the streets, so there are some advantages to being this busy, and the sundeck and yard are coming on at long last.
    Better is good enough.
