Hello everyone!
First chance ive had to get on today! Firstly we had Harvest Assembly at DS school, which was good and lovely to hear them all singing - although I was all prepared for "We plough the fields and scatter"!! cos thats what i had to sing every year at school at harvest time!:D Instead of the usual collection of tins of food this year everyone made donations which is going to Food Aid.
Went straight to the gym afterwards.:D After lunch had a dance round the living room to my Elvis CD with DD and amarillo (her fav) then off to asda to guy DD a fluffy cat - she didnt want the £1 one! oh no it had to be the cat in the basket carrier for £7.74! It was a peace offering as she had tried to sneak out of nursery this morn with one of their pink fluffy bunnies! so there were tears when she had to hand it back!:o
Happy Birthday to Math!!

Just want to say
Pink W, Haribo, Master Pink W - so glad things seem to have gone OK today. Thanks to Haribo keeping us updated.
Math - welcome back, happy birthday and great to hear about your job. I am sure it is not always easy in this line of work.
Shuffs - great news about the results which I am sure is a great relief.
Mrs Mac - sorry to hear about your leg, methinks too much housework which has been putting us to shame. Take care and do as the doctor says.
PennyP - the wedding sounds fabulous - a much grander affair than our DDs but our day was very special too!
Kyle - have a fantastic time and don't worry, everything will be fine. Your Mum will miss you (!!!!!!!!!!!!).

Hi everyone,
We're home and Tim is safe and well! :j :j :j He's still in quite a bit of pain but we've been given a script that should help him a bit.
I'm sorry that I can't post more but an unexpected night in a busy hospital ward, sleeping in a chair by a restless child's bed doesn't do much for the nerves when you're worried sick. However, after speaking to Haribo this evening, when she told me about all your lovely messages, I felt that I had to log on for a few minutes to say thankyou and tell you all how touched I am. You really are a fantastic lot!:A :A :A :T :T :T
I am so tired that I'm almost cross eyed, as the last couple of days have been a real emotional rollercoaster, but I'll [STRIKE]bore you with all the details[/STRIKE], tell you all about it tomorrow.
I'm afraid that I can't remember much of the thread but,
tired mum, special thoughts and hugs for you, as someone else said you are always so warm and supportive to us all.
The Shuffs, I'm delighted to hear your news!
And last but certainly not least....Happy Birthday Math, it's good to hear your news and see you posting again.
I'm sorry that I have nothing Old Style to report and I am so sorry if I have forgotten or missed anything important but thankyou all so much for you lovely kind thoughts.

Evening all
Glad to here the good news from Pink, Math ( hippo birdy math) & Rachel.
Another short post from me, still not 100%, but getting there, horrible day at work, one dept in particular complaining about their bill, I double checked everything & the bill is correct, they still came in & moaned at me for 30 mins, till I lost it & told them to go & complain to the organ grinder (bursar) & leave me whose only the poor monkey alone. So I'm taking my poor sore stomach & thumping head ache to bed, out the way of the lodger, who is raising the roof with her sneezing.
Hugs Hester

Evening folks.
It's been a lovely day here today, apart from all the police milling around due to the conference in town.
I have been very old style, cooked a minced beef stew with dumplings in my slow cooker, with enough left for 2 or 3 more servings. :j
Got some kidney beans soaking for tomorrows delight and I think I'll do some veg soup also.
Hugs to those who are not 100% through either illness or other worries and Happy Birthday to Math.
Now, I'm just going to check my doorbell is working in the hope that Panda will bring me half of that banana loaf....the last one looked scrummy. :rotfl:Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no: 203.0
