    Morning All

Many Happy Returns Math - have a brilliant day

Pinkwinged (((hugs))) for you and ds today.

Churchmouse I too have woken with a cold this morning. Dont feel too bad at the moment so here's hoping it will be a shortlived one.

Yesterday at the hospital was very annoying, got there in plenty of time but everyone who arrived after us went in before, eventually queried it with the nurse who had been putting everyone elses notes on top of ours - that was a couple of hours wasted. Luckily wont have to go back for 2 years.

Weather was horrible yesterday, isnt raining at the moment and hopefully will hold off. This morning am off to local farmers market, dont really need anything but will have a look about. Once home will be in office till lunchtime when have a golf lesson, am really looking forward to it, dont know if oh will be able to make it as he still isnt home from work.

More paperwork this afternoon then ds is off to footie practice. Macoroni Cheese for tea - oh will have something on toast.

Thats it for now, have a great day.

    Hello everybody,

Been busy again in the kitchen. Sigh. The overflowing veggie garden is wearing a bit thin. :D Guess where I"ll be again tomorrow. DH arrived home around 3pm so just been gasbagging with him. We're going for our first walk after tea tonight. We use to do it all the time but have got lazy. The neighbours are back again for a few days. ;)

Math Happy Birthday & hope you have a lovely day.
CM & Essex Girl Sorry to hear your both unwell. Get better soon.
Pink Best wishes for Master Pink on his op & hugs to the Pink family.

    Morning Everyone.

Off to work in a minute - had a horrible day yesterday, too much work not enough staff but thats the civil service for you!

Daughter is settling ok at school but she wouldnt go in yesterday. Its horrible because she was clinging to my leg and I felt like an evil woman for making her go. Once she is in she is fine though.

Going to phone out Health Visitor today, my son has been referred to a Paedatrician (sp?), Speech Therapist and Physio and havent heard anything yet.

My horse can come in from the field today and have a night in, she is getting old and the weather is getting cold so she can have a nice cosy night in her stable.

Pink - hope everything goes well today.

Love and hugs to everyone. See you all tonight. x x

HAPPY BIRTHDAY WISHES TO MATH - have a great day!
essex-girl - how annoying for the hospital visit, I certainly would have made my opinions known!
anniestar - how are the cats these day?

Woke up with headache again, hope it clears.

DD got her school photo today! I'll be surprised if she smiles, she went to school with the face on!

OH & DS are going to the football match tonight at Notts County! Whilst his dad is in hospital, OH is taking the advantage of using his dad's season ticket!

    Still going through the washing!
Chicken curry & rice for dinner.

I told my mum about the car boot item! She laughed and said it didn't matter! I dont feel so guilty now!

Anyway, best crack on and get ready for work.
    Love to you all

  • Hi all, Happy Birthday MATH, hope you're around to see all your birthday wishes, I miss your humour too.

PPincher, that sounds like a wonderful wedding, I'm so glad you enjoyed it. Hope you soon feel a bit better <hugs>

Kyle, a friend of mine came back from Orlando on Friday, she said it was very hot and humid there at the moment but still fabulous. She ate out a lot of the time because it is so cheap there at present, but when they didn't want to go to a restaurant they picked up lots of ready made salads etc from delis and the hotel shop. She had budgeted about £30 per day for the three of them for food and brought quite a lot of cash back with her. Have fun! I'm very jealous.

Pink, fingers crossed and thoughts are with you and your family today.

Hilstep, hope the man turns up and can do something useful!

Love and hugs to everyone else, sorry, brain has done its usual fog thing.

Must get round and clean this morning, have already done one load of washing which is now drying, I have a loaf of bread to slice and freeze and the kitchen floor needs a sluice down.

This afternoon I'm visiting the sick daughter of a friend who is wheelchair bound and unable to speak - her very precious teddy bear is in dire need of repair and so I'm popping round with my sewing box and a few scraps of fur to see what I can do for her. Hope I can make a difference anyway.

    Have a great day everyone

    Breakfast: Crumpets
Lunch: Leftover stuffed pepper from yesterday's dinner, yum
Dinner: Moussaka and either veggies or salad.

    Love

23_34_1.gifMath. Hope you have a good day - missing you as well poor old N9eav has sole responsibility for keeping us girlies in line now - think youd best get back quick sharp

Pink - Will be Thinking about your DS and you today
Shez - mmmmm kitchen watch very very dull compared to Hesters - that is just poetic :rotfl:
PP - that wedding sounds gorg - is he a footballer:rotfl:

Kitchen Watch All well underway now and I have lost the 2 vile flourescent lights and instead have 10 halogens :j Sadly I keep going downstairs and turning the lights on and off:o icon7.gif it just makes such a difference. The skimming of the ceiling has started and I am impressed with the integrity of the builder - instead of sweeping all the plaster up he has kindly left it on my kitchen floor (and all over the hall carpet) obviously for me to recycle:rolleyes: :D
    3_11_6v.gif <
    job for later then:rolleyes:
Yesterday I finally took the plunge and ordered the floor (black slate rhino vinyl:D ) I also bought a fridge freezer which will be here on Sunday - blimey this is such an expensive game but im la la laaing every time the card comes out - what I cant see I cant worry about:rotfl:

Yesterday I didnt manage to skank any food from anyone (damm must perfect my technique) I bought a big catering tub of 3 cheese and onion sandwich filler from costo and some peanut butter so if I fail again then at least I can have a butty:D

Today I have no idea if any progress will be made as we have the usual builders promise - I may be back tomorrow if I finish the other job:rotfl: Im taking that I may have a day off then. Anyway looking forward to lunch today as I am taking my mum and dad for a treat to Loch Fyne (gorgeous gorgeous seafood platters with lobster - mmmmmm) that should put me by so no need to beg tonight:rotfl:

Anyway best start getting some of that plaster up before I have all white carpets.

    Have a great day all

Happy Birthday Math - hope it's a good one - do come back soon.

Pink - Hope all goes well today for Master Pink

Penpin - Glad the wedding went ok - it's a lovely zoo, my local one and I've got lots of happy memories of it from when I was little. My Grandad used to be friends with John Aspinal, the man who founded that and Howletts zoo so we used to visit lots.

A miserable grey, drizzly day again here but I've nothing planned outdoors so I'll cope :D Had 2nd opinion on our boiler yesterday as the landlord wouldn't belive the 1st plumbers report - 2nd one said exactly the same and the boiler needs replacing - he won't be impressed but hey ho not my problem (I do love that about renting).

Got to get the craft stuff out today and get stuck into making some cards - got 6 birthdays in the next 2 months to deal with and need to make a start on christmas cards to sell and for my own use.

Made a chicken and sweetcorn soup last night and managed to melt my blender stick to the point that the blades wont turn - was a very interesting texture to the soup and it didn't go down well - ah well - can't be a perfect domestic godess every time eh.

Chicken curry has been requested tonight, DD1 wants apples and apricots in it - DD2 wants chickpeas in it - why can they never agree? Must get the chicken out or they'll be faced with a plate of rice!

Hope you all have a lovely day.

  • Good morning everyone

Dry and reasonably bright here so I have taken down the curtains in the living room, put them in the wm and washed the windows. Looks sooo much better. DS has given me a list of stuff he would like me to do today. I have my own list too so I will fit his in with my list and what doesn't get done, well.... tough.

Happy Birthday MATH . Hope you are giving yourself a day off from all the cooking and cleaning.
((((hugs)))) and good luck thoughts to Pink and DS.
((((hugs)))) to all those who aren't sleeping or have woken up with headaches. Really puts a dampener on the day, doesn't it?

WM is finished so I must go. Have a tremendous Tuesday. xx
