  • October 17th - day seventeen - spent £11.61

Diesel - £10.00. Bought from Sainsbury's (cheap) and got my Nectar points. Only put a tenner in as I won't be using it till Tuesday now and rather have the cash to be honest.

    Minishop - £1.61. Paper, rolls and a Twix:mad:

Not a bad day though I'm a wee bit annoyed about my choc dependency...:rotfl:

It can really be a habit this chocolate bar thing, can't it?
I have to fight the call of the vending machine each day......

You will just have to follow earlier advice and fill up with more fuel, less frequently so that you don't succumb to the call of the Twix so often.

And can you come up to Hertfordshire and remove this blasted chocolate machine too :D ?

I've found that if i buy myself a packet of chocolate digestives (sometimes with caramel!) and i try make sure that they last me a whole week at work.

Much cheaper than a bar of chocolate every day, the thing is i want some in the morning and the afternoon, so i have to be strict with myself. More for supposedly being good foodie wise than the money factor. But i suppose it is a bit of both.

Shame all my biscuits will be finished by lunchtime tomorrow innit!!!

It's a theory that might work for some people, just not me. Or maybe i should have friday's off!!

    That'd sort it!

  • If I bought a packet of biscuits, they'd be gone by lunchtime on the first day so no point doing that...:rotfl:

    October 18th - day eighteen - spent £4.54

Stamps - £2.04. Two letters to go off so bought a whole book.

Tea - £2.50, had a meeting an hour from home at 5.45pm so bought tea on the way back:rolleyes: , got a newspaper too.
  • Have you used the demotivator tool? You can use it for anything. Put in how much you reckon you spend on chocolate and see how many weeks you are working to pay for it and it might be enough to put you off. x

  • I just wanted to say what a wonderful read your diary is, life can be challenging but it can also be fun along the way. You seem like a very decent man and father, im keeping my fingers crossed for a happy ending!!!
    Love a charity shop bargain
  • Yeovilmac,

I've been lurking on here for ages and your diary has finally made me "come out" and post. You sound like a really good dad and seem to have a positive outlook on life.

I hope you have a fantastic weekend with your boys and your (soon to be not?) ex. Fingers crossed for you!

BTW - maybe less white bread would be good for you?

    Thanks for the messages guys...:T

Just been shopping for a lot of "healthier" stuff. Will post the update tonight but shopping was dearer this week understandably. I needed a hoodie for football training so bought one for a fiver in George (Asda). I bought XXL which might be a bit small as I usually get XXXL. Training is from 6-7 on Friday evenings ( I help coach the under-sevens ) so its normally cold. Theory is that I'll need it almost immediately therefore it's in my best interest to, er, slim down a bit to get into it...:rotfl:

White bread isn't good but I don't really like the alternatives that much so I generally make do with the rolls instead.
  • Hey, get me!:j

Just tried on the hoodie to see just how small it was on me and it fits like a glove!!

Asda' must have changed their sizes, methinks....

No, lets not think Asda have changed their sizes! Let's think you have shrunk!!!! (Works for me every time!!!! Haven't shrunk yet!)

This happens in the mysterious world of womens clothing, this is when something you buy from a shop in "your size" (enter applicable figure girls!) but when you get it home it doesn't fit. Despite having several items in that size from that retailer that you wear on a daily basis. Frustrating!

Anyways, well done slim! We won't expect to hear from you over the weekend, sounds like E can't wait to see you too! Lucky you!!!

Be good, and if you can't be good, be careful!!!
