A few suggestions
think about cheap things to do with the children. Plenty of things you can do for free without going to expensive places.
think about cooking more and buying food out less
If you are self employed, do you submit your own tax returns and put money aside for your income tax bill? Do you know how much tax you will need to pay per week or whatever based on how much you earn? Just a thought if you haven't got that far ...
Is the ex-girlfriend the mother of your children?Indecision is the key to flexibility0 -
My ex-girlfriend and I ( who I love to bits ) are talking of giving it another go, starting hopefully with her coming down next weekend. I hope so, she means a lot to me and I'm hoping that things will work out.

Gee thanks for your messages guys....
Anniecave - I don't cook that often and to be honest, we don't eat out that much. McDonalds yesterday was my own fault, I'd promised them a happy meal if Yeovil had won, now having not scored for four games, I thought I was pretty safe there...:rotfl: I haven't been putting aside my tax money but in January I have a busy old month where my money doubles or even trebles so I'll put a bigger % aside then to cover the year. As far as going out with them, we go to the airport to watch the planes arrive and depart, down to the harbour to watch the boats and have a picnic and until football training started on a Friday two weeks ago, we went to the park too to practise their football. It would be too much now for them to have training at the club on Friday night, play with me the following day then the match itself on a Sunday, they'd be tired come kick-off.:p Final question, the ex-girlfrriend is not the mum of the twins, their mum has a new man now but I'm chuffed for her. It was awful to start with when the twins mum and I split up ( search my user name, its all here somewhere  ) but I believe the last ex-g/f is my soulmate, we got on so well but split up about two months ago. Spent the day with her last Tuesday and, well, let's see what happens.:j
Skintspice / Painted Lady - thanks for your kind comments.:T0 -
So enjoying reading your diary, hope all goes well with your ex:kisses2:
You sound like a great Dad, echoing what anniecave said, try & make some packed lunches or even buy packets of pasties in Asda, much cheaper than Greggs ( won't help with the diet though:rotfl: )
Keep up the good work:TComping again - wins so far : 2 V festival tix, 2 NFL tix, 6 bottles of wine, personalised hand soap, Aussie miracle conditioner

October 14th - day fourteen - spent £24.42
Petrol - £15.00. Bought from Sainsbury's ( cheap ) and obtained Nectar points.
Lunch - £2.72. Yes, yes, don't nag. I'd run out of bread again.
Football - £4.00. Took boys to their football match today, £2.00 each x 2.
Drink - £2.70. Boys won football match so tradition stated one pint must be drunk.0 -
It doesn't look like the ex g/f will be able to make it this weekend so I stuffed myself full of chocolate and have screwed the weight-loss big time this week.0

Thinking of you mister! chin up!
What's for lunch today then? I'm having a sandwcih from home today. No car today so stuck in office all day long! Might even be one of those, oh whaddya call them, oh yeah, no spend days?!!?!I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....(it's part of my charm!)0 -
October 15th - day fifteen - spent £11.27
Diesel - £10.00. I could curse myself as I got up late AND let the van run down low so had to buy from Esso at 3p/litre dearer and no loyalty points.
Mini-shop - £1.27. Four rolls and a paper.0
