What about filling the car/van right up whenever you're at a cheap petrol station, rather than just sticking £10/£20 every day when you need it? Doesn't cost any more in the long run, and lessens the temptation to grab a bag of crisps/bar of Galaxy Cookie Dough while you're in the petrol station! Maybe it doesn't work like that for you, but I hate filling the car, so the less times I have to do it the better!
Any word from the ex about when you can get together?0 -
I should do that, pandapaws, but I never seem to have a spare £40 about to fill it up. I can actually go into a garage and not buy anything in a shop to eat.
Galaxy Dough? Never heard of it, must be someone else's obsession...:rotfl:
The ex is hoping to come down after all, we'll be talking on MSN later but fingers crossed it will be from Friday night to Monday morning....:smileyhea0 -
October 16th - day sixteen - spent £76.37
Football tickets - £54.45. My only real vice is football. I have a season ticket for Yeovil Town and two or three times a season I take the boys to an away match. This weekend is one of them as I live in Bristol and we're away to Rovers. I took the chance that my ex would be coming down and got four tickets and not three...:kisses3: .
Petrol - £20.00. Had £30 in the wallet but couldn't quite follow pandapaws advice completely and put £20 in instead.
Minishop - £1.92 on rolls, a paper and a twix.
As far as the love thing goes, it looks like E will be coming down this weekend arriving 8.30pm Friday night and going back Monday morning. I'm not going to tell the boys until the last possible moment, maybe even not until we get to the train station. They loved her as she was so good with them and they'll be made up when they see her. It will be a wonderful start to hopefully a great weekend for them.0 -
Love is in the air! Now I'll be looking out for Yeovil town scores on the classifieds at the weekend!
I'm SPL myself so have to wait until the end anyways! What league are they in?I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....(it's part of my charm!)0 -
We're 9th in League One...which team are you?0
-
Am I completely off the mark and thinking of another team or have Yeovil done really well in the last few years? I seem to remember not that long ago that they were in the FA Vase and a non-league team so if i'm right in thinking that they've had a pretty good run recently?
My OH's team have had the opposite happen - Premiership, to Championship, to League One, though fingers crossed for promotion this year!
BTW - if that whole bit above is drivel and I'm thinking of another team altogether just ignore me!
Good luck for this weekend - hope everything goes to plan this time!

Dare i say... celtic... shhhh though, i don't brag about it.
I will watch Yeovil scores with interest now!
Good luck for the weekend with E, she sounds lovely and as you sound lovely too, i'm sure you are made for each other.
Fingers n toes all crossed it goes well!I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....(it's part of my charm!)0 -
Awww shucks, thanks girls.:p
chocoholic - You're almost right, it was the FA Trophy we were in, the FA Vase is for amateur teams. Yes, it's been a great few years really, we won the FA Trophy in 2002, won promotion from the Conference the following year with 100 goals and by a 17-point margin; the next year we missed out on the play-offs by goal difference but won League Two in 2005; the next season was a struggle as our talismanic manager Gary Johnson left for Bristol City but we achieved safety and pushed on last year and almost got our third promotion in 5 years but lost to Blackpool at Wembley in the playoff final. Add glamour FA Cup ties versus Liverpool and Charlton and its been a great six seasons.
Bet you wish you hadn't asked now.
Maz - Celtic is my Scottish team since goodness knows when. Yeovil play in green and white hoops also except that they don't go right round, if that makes sense... I used to follow their results when my gran had the Sunday Post sent dwon here so I could read Oor Wullie and The Broons...:j0 -
C'mon the Hoops!!
PM me your address, I've got some old Broons/Oor Wullie books you can have. (If you want to give me your address obviously! not stalking or anything!)
I'm so bored today at work. i may have to stick pins in my eyes!!!!!!!!!I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....(it's part of my charm!)0 -
