Just logged in to lots of new messages, gee thanks everyone...:heartsmil . As far as Greggs went yesterday, you can get a surprising amount of naughty stuff for £2.47, maybe two slices of French Bread Pizza and a Sausage / Bean melt...

    October 12th - day twelve - spent £34.72

Shopping - £31.72. Went to Asda this morning as my cupboards made Old Mother Hubbard's look well-stocked... spent a little more than usual but not overly worried.

Football Training - £3.00. Took twins to their training tonight.

Poorbutrich - when did you leave Yeovil? PM me if you'd rather.

Hey you - I've just challenged myself to cut right back on all the Greggs, McD's, pub grub and the like for the rest of the month.

Get yourself over there and join me - it'll do the pocket and the waistline the world of good (that's what I'm hoping anyway!):

P.S. How many doughnuts were included in that £30 you spent in Asda?!
    Mmmm...doughnuts....

Cheeky mare, none of that £30 was on doughnuts. :A
  • Ok, you gotta stop with the doughnuts talk! I resisted last night but now I want them again! Or Galaxy cookie dough (which I've never seen or heard of but it sounds yummy). Or in fact anything except the bowl of bran flake mush (end of the packet scraps) that I am eating!

Our cupboards are a bit Miss Hubardish at the moment due to OH doing the shopping last week and barely buying anything. He's doing the shopping again today so imagine it will be doughnut and galaxy free and full of healthy, good for you food *sigh*

    Brilliant news about the weightloss.

But all this talk of doughnuts is making me think of all those luxuries I have stopped buying until we're debt free (chocolate, cookies, cakes, biscuits, sweets...) Stuff it, my NSD is about to become £2 on chocolate:o

Cat, that's the funniest thing I've seen in ages!!!

Reminds me EXACTLY of the day just after Easter that OH and I went to Makro and the Lindt bunnies were reduced to a fiver (the ones that had been £25 - over a foot high). Only 2 left, so bought them both, obviously.

Spent ages gathering the remnants of gold foil and little bells up from under the car seats when we got home half an hour later :D !

Petrol - £13.00. Ran dangerously low so had to buy from Murco ( 4p a litre dearer but better than running out ). Only put in enough to get down to Yeovil and back and I'll fill up at Tesco / Sainsburys tomorrow.

Football - £9.00. Bought two programmes ( one for DS2 / DS3's mum as their pic is in it ) and one for me. I always buy a programme however poor I am as I avidly collect them, had nearly 900 at the last count  ). One Golden Gamble ticket, one car park fee and one Bovril....creature of habit, me.

Tea - £8.17. Not saying where I got it from but du du du du du, I'm loving it. It's been a good week overall so treated myself again.

Lottery - £2.00 Thunderball ticket. No. before you ask.

Bad day money wise but good day otherwise. My ex-girlfriend and I ( who I love to bits ) are talking of giving it another go, starting hopefully with her coming down next weekend. I hope so, she means a lot to me and I'm hoping that things will work out.
