Hi Jenna, thanks for replying....:T
Nothing wrong with your maths, I remembered buying the rolls at dinnertime but didn't add them into the total.
The courier pricing is a bit of everything to be honest. Some of it is fixed price work, when I work for HDNL, I'm paid a rate per catalogue and on the longer journeys, its so much per mile. Therefore my hourly rate ranges from £5.00 up to as much as £18.00 depending on the client.0 -
No advise, just wanted to say "good luck" YeovilMac, with the money and the weight thing. Funny how a lot of people in debt are also overweight isn't it. i am no exception. Good day really. Had a couple of extra jobs, a customer paid up from months back ( tbh I had forgotten he owed me a tenner ) and booked me for another job and paid up front. Had a good day weight-loss wise :j so treated myself to a pie and chips for tea..:D
Chased up my HB claim which should have been settled today but wasn't, they reckon it might be another week...:mad:0 -
Keep up the good work. Bet the pie & chips is NOT on slimming world though eh! Why not make & freeze some soups etc? I had a yummy homemade one for lunch - I batch cook at w/e & then just take it out at breakfast & soup & pitta defrosted by lunch & away you go! Lunch for about 10p!!Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! Even in the darkest moments, love and hope are always possible.0

I love it!!!!!
Hi and good luck with the budgeting and weight loss! Just think how many pies you can treat yourself to if you keep losing weight...!
Not a great deal I can say to offer advice or help against your SOA, but (if I don't say it, someone else will) have you registered with Quidco and the likes? I started with them about 3 months ago, and by taking advantage of the free or low cost offers, I've made over £900 for an investment of about £200. If you could manage that, you could send the Provvy man packing for good! Give us a shout if you want any further info on it, but you'll find loads of posts on here that have advice.
Matched Betting is the other thing that a lot of people use for guaranteed extra income, so long as you are absolutely certain that you don't have any underlying gambling tendancies - if so, don't touch it as the object is to play the system and swindle the bookies (legally, of course!), not to bet! As you're into footie, it might be a bit of a hobby as well, but it does take a bit of getting your head round.
As you buy both petrol and diesel, I'm guessing you have a car as well as the van. Do you need both, or would it be possible to combine in some way to cut costs?
Good luck with the dating!0 -

Hi guys, thanks for your messages.:T
Pandapaws - a courier friend of mine has an old Nissan van that he doesn't use that often so he lends it to me for the periods I work for Home Delivery ( April, July, October and January ). I pay him 5p per catalogue for the use of the van plus fuel so i definitely end up in pocket. Some of the catalogues are a bit weighty ( maximum of 65/70 in the car whereas the van holds nearer 300 ) so a van is needed. This way I get the use of it for a dirt cheap fee.
October 5th - day five - spent £58.67
Shopping £15.96. Did my weekly shop and it actually came to £27.97 but earlier, I emptied my change pot into a Coinstar machine and used the voucher against the shopping. Not exactly an MSE recommended move but it got rid of my change.
XBox 360 game £39.71 - bought it for my DS1 who is 16 on Monday.
Football Training £3.00 - DS2 and DS3 went to football training tonight.0 -
A very late posting as haven't been back long.
October 6th - day six - spent £44.60
Petrol - £20.00, bought at Tesco (cheap) and got Clubcard points
Admission to Longleat £8.00 - actually should have been £88.00 for all five of us (me and the four children) but I sent off for my Clubcard tokens two weeks ago and used £80 worth of them against our admission price.
Guide book - £5.00. Decided it was worth it as its a lovely souvenir for the boys to look back on.
Tea - £11.60. Naughty Martin but last time I went, it cost me a fortune as I bought food there and tea on the way home too, probably about £30. This time, did a packed lunch plus drinks for all five of us and luckily my kids aren't the sort who want, want, want all the time. Decided to splash out on tea on the way home for us all.0 -
Dunno if this is any use but there is a website which tells you the cheapest place to buy petrol (not being a driver i don't know the name). Don't forget good old pigsback for daily clicks as well, it doesn't pay much but as Mr T says "Every little helps"Find out who you are and do that on purpose (thanks to Owain Wyn Jones quoting Dolly Parton)0
