Well I've read the previous thread. Which was interesting, shame it got hi-jacked by some numpties with issues of their own. I'm sure you'll get some good advice on this thread as we are, like, your biggest fans!!!

For what it's worth, i think she's lucky to have you, and maybe a little bit damaged, it's up to you if you can cope with that. The thing is you are strong but this woman has made you vulnerable in the past, and makes you less strong by her needs. (Does that even make sense??!!?!)

No answers really from me, i just think you'll meet someone who deserves you more.

Steer clear of having her too involved with the kids if you are no 100% sure...

I would never condemn a person for lying and say once a liar always a liar etc, as this just isn't true. I think one big fat lie (like, say, i don't have a credit card darling) which is said for a reason (to protect self/others from truth?) is better than lots of wee insignificant lies which have no point or purpose really (i.e. i wrote you a poem, when i never, she knows you're mad about her anyway and her about you, so what good does a poem do?).

Do i talk gibberish or what.

Enjoy the football tonight. C'mon the Hoops!!!
I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....

  • Hi Martin, just thought I'd wish you luck.
I can't really believe that she would lie about her Husband being violent towards her, & the intimate moment thing, I'm sure was really a bit of comfort & probably familiarty rather than lust!! & you had split at the time, hadn't you?
Really it's up to you who you believe, the Husband who may be trying to put a spanner in the works, or the lady you call "your soulmate"?
I would just tell her again that you need complete honesty from this day on, forget the past & think of the future.
If you don't give it a go, you'll never know whether you can live "happily ever after" of course you may get burnt, but that's the risk you'll need to take.
As you say, you have your faults too, as we all have, just cut her a bit of slack & perhaps she wouldn't feel she has to lie about little things that don't matter & it wouldn't then worry you that she's lying about things that do matter!
    Hope this makes sense:confused:

  • aww yeovil poor you :grouphug:. I hate liars no matter how insignificant it may seem. I spent years living with a compulsive liar and it eroded me. I won't give you any advice other than I am sure there are many many women who would love you to bits and be 100 % trustworthy. Good luck

    Hi there,

Haven't felt much like posting these past two days but have got the urge to tonight. Memory's getting a bit frayed, but here goes...

    October 24th - day 24 - spent £16.10

Petrol - £10.00. Bought at Tescos (cheap ) and got Clubcard points.

Tea - £6.10. Went halves on a chippie supper with the ex-wife.

    October 25th - day 25 - spent £4.63

Mini-shop - £4.63. Boys have been here all week and slightly underestimated the food shop last week...

As far as E goes, I love her to bits so we'll carry on. I do get hyper-anxious over stupid little things and I'm also a bit down at the moment over lack of money although if you read the diary on the pages beforehand, you could be forgiven for thinking I had plenty of it... . At our age ( we're a month apart and both forty next year, oops, did I really say that :rotfl: ), we have a "past" and all have done stuff we'd rather not. I'm b****ered if I'm going to let it spoil a relationship with someone who I still believe to be my soulmate.

    Martin

    Hi there,

Haven't been keeping a diary these past five days but I haven't been spending recklessly honestly. WTC of £44.63 went in on Friday and that's all I've had to live on this week which was difficult. All three of my customers were due to pay me last Friday but none of them did  so have found recent times a struggle.

So much so that my landlady lost patience with me and gave me two months notice to quit the flat. To be fair to her, I've been a couple of days late with the rent for the past few months and this has just been the final straw for her. 27th December will be get-out day although the implications of moving over Christmas means I'll be looking to move earlier than that.

Love life is still okay, haven't seen E since she went back but I'm hoping to spend the day with her on Thursday, money permitting.

Boys are fine, they won their latest football match 11-3 on Sunday so were happy although absolutely caked in mud. Their boots are still lying there in the kitchen and I can't face them just yet.

Work is looking up. A friend of mine who's a private investigator has wanted to expand in the Bristol area for a while but never found anyone reliable to pass his work on to. He's happy for me to try it before I commit further and it means I can keep my s/e status too.

Also applied today for a job in Wilkinsons as an evening shelf filler. They pay £7.50 an hour and you can do which shifts you like so I could possibly earn my way out of this hole if I'm lucky.

Finally just wanted to say I missed you all these past few days.

    Take care

    Martin

  • Hi Maz,

Sorry, I lost interest when the forums went down, was really busy for the next few days then when I got back, no-one had posted... :rotfl:

Money is very tight and likely to get even tighter. A mix-up over my customers paying me late forced me to default on my rent and as it wasn't the first time it had happened, I was given two months notice on the flat. Inititally I had to leave on Dec 27th. However, last week, I rang her to find out how quickly she was prepared to let me go as I had found a place. She took three days to return my call and told me Dec 8th ( a month from last Thursday ) which was fine except that the house I'd found had gone.... so now I have to be out on December 8th.

Romance is going fine, going up there on Thursday to spend the day with her again. When I find a place down here, she will move down so hopefully sooner rather than later, certainly aiming to have her down before Xmas.

My kids are all fine, the youngest two will be seven next week. :D :j

Will update again soon but can't be arsed to do it every day as starting to pack stuff up now.
