It's not boring mate, it's called a quiet life!!!
Don't see you around any of the other boards much.... you should circulate more!
How are things with the ex and kids at home anyway? I know you love having your kids around, so i guess you are enjoying it? How's things with the ex? going well?.... (and yes, that was a loaded question!!! lol)
Hi there Maz,
I should circulate more, shouldn't I? I promise to make more of an effort, I promise....:A
Lovely having the kids at home, I've seen more of them this past three weeks than ever before. I'm sleeping in the same room as them at present so the first thing I see when I wake up is them and the last thing at night too...:j :j
The past three weeks have reminded me though why their mum and I split up, she is a nightmare to live with. Shan't go into it here but I'm thankful that there is 0% chance of getting back with her. The whole sorry story of what happened before is on here somewhere and now and again I revisit it to remind myself how bad things were. Not in case I think about getting back with her, more a case of remembering why I get up in the mornings, why I go to work and why I'm here at all.
At the end of the day, she is just a very mixed up woman who can't stay alone in life, has to have a partner, I'm afraid. I used to be like that but now, I'm more happy with my own company.
Unless any of you want to give me a go, that is? :eek:0 -
Hang on, we'll form an orderly Q!!! You're such a sweetie, i betcha we could match you up no probs!
Re the ex, i kinda thought that was the case, but it's worth it to be with the kids and to know they are safe and secure must be priceless!
I challenge you to circulate more, so i can raise your profile and find you a DFW ladeee!!
Geography is a !!!!!! of a thing though, so it may take a while!!!
Where is Yeovil anyway? or, no, are you not in Yeovil now? ooooh i'm so confused! i know you're granny was scottish! not that that realy helps! lolI'm just a seething mass of contradictions....(it's part of my charm!)0 -

What a post, Maz!! :T
Lived in Yeovil from 0 to 31 then moved to Bristol eight years ago.
The Scots connection is that my gran was born and raised in Elgin.:D0 -
Whaddaya mean "what a post!" ??????? are you trying to say my articulate musings are not your cup of tea?
Maybe shambolic ramblings are more the correct phrase.
okay so Bristol then, that's got to be easier.......
(how dumb would i look if i said i didn't actually know where Bristol was!?)
Have you read those Broons books yet, coloured in the pictures yet? Or is that just me!?
Got a Ma Broon's cook book for Xmas, some recipies in there that would put hairs on yer chest! mince, tatties and mealie! yum yum!!!
Ooh, sorry forgot! we're on a diet!I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....(it's part of my charm!)0 -
Must admit to not even starting to read The Broons books. The house move, Christmas and the catalogue season has put paid to that but not for long, I hope.
Don't know where Bristol is? Find the M4 on a map, then the M5, and where they meet, tis Bristol.
Today's spend? £20 total, that's a tenner each of diesel ( van ) and petrol ( car ). Pretty good day really as pushed out a further 143 catalogues. My mate John is helping tomorrow, 111 left on the van so will need to collect some more from the warehouse after we've finished.0 -
Another £18 petrol in the car ready for tomorrow's mileage, bought at Tesco for the clubcard points...:j
Nothing food-wise in the house so spent £3.75 on lunch ( John came to help today so treated him ) and £1.18 on tea but put out another 111 catalogues this morning.
Day off tomorrow so going down to Yeovil to proof-read the programme ( I do this on a voluntary basis ) then visiting some friends before a fans meeting at 5.45pm, arriving home after nine.:o0 -
Long old day today, got back in about an hour ago after being out since 8.15am.
Spent £7.50 on petrol tonight ( car's a bit thirsty lately... ) plus 55p on doughnuts for the football club staff, 85p on biscuits for the printers, 65p on a local paper and £4.00 on lunch / tea.
Get back down to my home town about every two weeks for football but miss my friends. Saw both of them for the first time in about a year today which was good. :j I miss Yeovil nowadays for all its faults but I can't see a move back there being on the horizon at all. Bristol's home now and so be it.0 -
Poor you having to work such long hours! You must be knackered!!!
Have you done a weigh in lately?
keep up the good work, and the low spends! you're doing great!
I hope you don't mind my posting, it's just nice to catch up but this thread is looking like the Maz n Mac show!!!I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....(it's part of my charm!)0 -
No problem at all with you posting, Maz.
Last weighed in about three days ago and had lost just over a stone but I think that has taken a hit big time today as I was very naughty. Both the friends I visited ( one was 63 and the other 82 ) are folk of the age where a cuppa should come with a selection of biscuits and I partook of a few, I must admit....:A
On Saturday at football, I'll bump into some folk who I haven't really seen since Christmas, if they notice I've lost weight then I'm on to a winner....:j
Would rather be happy though in the knowledge that I'm losing it gradually and treating myself now and again rather than starving myself.0 -
Poured with rain here for much of the day so didn't get out for the catalogues, stayed in and sorted out some paperwork.
Spent £3.00 tonight at football training with DS2 and DS3 but got wet. John has invited me up for a spot of tea as I also need to sort out my car. The catalytic converter has been on the way out for months now and will need replacing VERY shortly indeed along with the front arm (), about £150 at least. He's lending me another car till mine's sorted.
