Spent a bit today. £20 of petrol in the loaned car then off down to football which always drains the wallet but it is my only vice. £5.00 on two programmes ( one for a friend ), £3.00 at half-time, £2.00 on parking and a quid on a raffle ticket.
Sorry!

Cheeky mares.
Didn't win. First prize is normally around £350 so worth winning. However, I need to win the jackpot just to get my money back for all the losing tickets I've invested...:p
I organise an article for the programme for every issue and, as a thank you, I get the article's contributor a programme for his trouble. This week, a distant mate from Yorkshire wrote my piece for me so will send up the programme on Monday.
The day hasn't been too bad except for a blazing row with the ex tonight. The strain is beginning to show and I'll be glad when she goes but sad because the little 'uns go with her...
And anyone can ramble on my thread if they wish, please feel free.0 -
Spent a little bit today again.
Went to Asda this morning and spent £8 on a polo shirt, £4 on three pairs of socks, £2 on some deodorant, £2 on a chicken salad and a fiver on a belt. I've lost some weight lately and broke the other belt trying to put another hole in it...
Tonight, went to a pub quiz and spent precisely nothing as I managed to time my entrance perfectly as someone was buying a round...:j
Got back home to find the twins still up and their mum p***ed as a fart. They couldn't go to sleep because they missed their dad. Bear in mind that I haven't lived with their mum since they were four months old and they're now seven!! I think she and the kids are moving out at the end of the week and it will hit them hard as I've been there day and night for the past four weeks....0 -
oh Martin, how horrible for you to have to face up to the kids going soon. But are they going far? Or will they be in Bristol still? (see i'm keeping up! i know where you live now!!)
well done re the belt and the weight loss thing! Did the others notice how well you'd done when you saw them at the weekend?I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....(it's part of my charm!)0 -
Hi Maz, thanks for your kind words.
They're moving to Wick which is 4/5 miles outside Bristol. I'm not anti-Wick at all but I know that their mum will soon get fed up with the 20-minute journey into their school and she'll move them out of their present school. Half of their football team go to school with them plus lots of their friends who were at playgroup with them going back four years now.
As a result of last night's events ( the boys saying they missed me ), I'm now stopped from taking them to school and picking them up even though it now means they have to leave 20 minutes earlier in the morning and don't get back till 4pm. It's all a question of her not wanting me to get too attached to them which is a bit late now.
As far as my friends noticing, yes they did. As I only see them every 2/3 weeks, they're the sort of people that will notice most and also they're good enough to mention it too....:j0 -
for a minute there, i thought you meant Wick, as in Caithness, as in nearer me than you!!!
She's probably right about the getting used to being without you, and i hope you're wrong about her changing their schools when she gets fed up of the journey..... let's give her the benefit of the doubt for now!
