With a Claim Issue Date of 26th July, you have until Wednesday 14th August to do the Acknowledgement of Service, but there is nothing to be gained by delaying it. To do the AoS, follow the guidance offered in a Dropbox file linked from post #2 of the NEWBIES FAQ sticky thread. About ten minutes work - no thinking required.

Having done the AoS, you have until 4pm on Wednesday 28th August 2019 to file your Defence.

That's over four weeks away. Loads of time to produce a perfect Defence, but please don't leave it to the last minute.

When you are happy with the content, your Defence should be filed via email as suggested here:
      Print your Defence.
    1. Sign it and date it.
    2. Scan the signed document back in and save it as a pdf.
    3. Send that pdf as an email attachment to CCBCAQ@Justice.gov.uk
    4. Just put the claim number and the word Defence in the email title, and in the body of the email something like 'Please find my Defence attached'.
    5. Log into MCOL after a few days to see if the Claim is marked "defence received". If not chase the CCBC until it is.
    6. Do not be surprised to receive an early copy of the Claimant's Directions Questionnaire, they are just trying to keep you under pressure.
    7. Wait for your DQ from the CCBC, or download one from the internet, and then re-read post #2 of the NEWBIES FAQ sticky thread to find out exactly what to do with it.

Is your own bay mentioned in your lease/tenancy agreement? If so, primacy of contract should apply

Parking on the pavement opposite is a bit different. Why did you do this?

If you have based your forum username on you real name you are best advised to get it changed to something much more anonymous.

To help with that, you might like to read this short extract from The MSE Forum Guide - Frequently Asked Questions & Rules:
    Q. How can I change my username?

    A.
In most circumstances, this is not permitted.

The only reason we will change your username is if it puts your privacy at risk. This usually means you've inadvertently registered using your name, email address or something that gives away your identity within your username.

If you fall into this category, email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com and request that it is changed, giving three alternative usernames in order of preference.

So do you still live there?

If you do dig the tenancy agreement out and have a look. And getting hold of the lease your landlord has would be good too.

Nowhere else to park? No roads nearby etc etc.

Unfortuantley if you park on the road you get a ticket from the council, there is a small section of road into the carpark that is private.

So, you have a tenancy agreement to look at.

What does it say about parking and a parking space?

As to parking on the pavement. Sorry I have little sympathy. Drives me nuts!

Possibly but i've got no idea where it is, will have to speak to landlord.
Whith regards to the pavement its not a section of path that people genreally walk on, hard to explain but it makes more sense when you see the area.
