hi,
I saw this thread today only. I t is great effort. I am not sure if we can make any impact but as you say there isnt any harm in doing that.
Saynoto0870 doesn't have all the companies / numbers listed.
I signed the petition (need to click on verify email address that i will do from work)
I will pass this to all my friends and u will see some increase in count.

Why should 0870 numbers be included in a "free call allowance"? These are telephone numbers that generate a revenue, which your mobile operator would have to pay.

Wouldn't it be better to refuse to call 0870 numbers?

Take the likes of 0845 numbers, now on o2 contract these are 20p per min, when if you do this through a bt landline then its 0.5p per min. End of the day included mins you are paying for. If they wasnt then they would be on a loss. Its a big money making thing. Like when you go abroad, I went to USA and o2 charged me £2.50 per min to call and £1 per min to recieve, thats how they make big money.
