Yes and no. And why might you not get it there by 19th December? Well, apart from the postal strikes which may or may not affect you then, it will take a week for you to even receive the bill. Many DON'T send their claims in immediately (or could be away for a week or so) and THINK - as it SAYS - they have 30 days from the date of the bill. They don't unless they're prepared to sue! In addition, they WILL NOT accept copy bills as you thought; and IF you've signed up to ineternet billing you've had it in any case unless you change THAT back immediately to paper billing.
yes quoting it all i agree with....i knew you would know the terms
It surely doent have to be 19th December now though...does it....as if they say 120+ days after connection which is bill dated 28th November(connection 19th of July) in which i have 30 days for it to get to them...Special delivery is guaranteed next day..I note it says will not accept copy bills, ....and will adhere to that, although i have just been viewing a page that said "photocopies accepted"....No.... re internet billing...I nearly fell for that last year....
So all in all....is my claim fairly straightforward, providing of course, i send the original, with the correct claim form, in time
and yes i am prepared to sue, my brother is successfully going through this at the moment.0 -
bobstheboy:- I agree to a large extent. However, why not meet both sets of t&c and avoid the hassle?
bassman:- I've set this out to save repeating it on my thread:-

Your supposition is exactly why I fully expect (and have been warning of such for quitesome time) about half os all claims to be denied - and therefore all subsequent claims - and why I then expect all hell to break loose on here. If you read widely enough on here you will find they've even prepared the rejection letter a LONG time before ANY first claims were due AND sent that (stupidly!) to quite a few people who made their first claim one month too soon.
What they now say and what they do are two very different things!0 -

I do not want to confuse you and I know mobilejunkie is trying to help.
Having said that I would follow the T&C's YOU signed up to and have a copy of to the letter. If they then decide to disqualify your claim because of changed T&C's you would have a very good case in the Civil Court.
I am not wanting to start an argument and any decision is yours.
Bob
You'll get no argument from me, i am here for advice, the terms i postd above were the terms in force when i bought my phone.....so yes i agree with you........unles anyone else thinks differently..0 -

but did i not ask this earlier, and is this not why i am "lucky" to be able to meet both sets ot t&c....
Can it be construed as my fault if my bill dated 28th takes more than 14 days to arrive.
can it be construed as my fault if i have proof of sending(recorded or special) if it is lost inthe post.....or delayed for other reasons.
I am prepared to do the full court thing if they break their terms with me.........ALL i am concerned about at the moment is getting my house in order, so its not my fault if they decide i am one of those who gets rejected......Is this the right tack to take0 -
Just realised that i have an email confirmation of my redemption method, sent from E2save the day i received my phone...this is exactly the same as i have set out above.......so does that surely mean that there can be no doubt which terms i adhere to, and as long as i get my bit right here, they cant legally refuse my claim, and if they do(if i have been picked out of the hat), as i have the confirmation here infront of me, they would find it worthless going to court and possibly settle after a "letter of action".
or am i still missing something MJ0 -
That would be fine IF they were following it. I think I've made things as clear as I can now. As I have said many times before about price-match deals, the legal t&c bind them so if all else fails and you've complied with them, suing should be straightforward.0

I have read through this thread, and also mobilejunkie's thread cashback guide for dummies, but regretfully, I am still confused, possibly because I ported my old number.
Having had 8 previous e2save cashback deals, 2 of which are still onoging, I decided to take out another deal for my son, who was going to university. This was a price-match deal.
The phone was ordered on 3 September. The number was ported to 02 on 11 September. My bill dates are 21st of the month.
I think that I need to send in the bill dated 21 December, showing charges for the period 23/12/2007 to 22/01/2007, showing connection for 120 days, after 1 January 2008. Or am I wrong, and should I send in the bill dated 21 January by Special Delivery, the minute I get it?
I am sorry, but I just can't seem to get my head round this one.0 -
Once again; bill PERIOD is totally irrelevant. After that it depends which t&c (or both) you decide to follow. It's confusing on purpose; they have spouted at least two conflicting but overlapping sets as I have reiterated and tried to explain many times now. Also, your previous experiences (again) are not relevant now. 21st December bill is the wrong one under the legal t&c but will be accepted under the ones they were using last time that was pronounced to me IF it arrives after 4th monthly anniversary of connection date and before 18th January. Other options apply.0

By other options, I presume you mean, I should send in the January bill as soon as I get it and I am then complying with their t's & c's.
mobilejunkie, I really thought I knew what I was doing, but obviously not.0 -
That's one of the other options. If you send your January bill it would have to get there within 30 days of the "window" they are using rather than the bill date. Which is why I have been fully expecting half of valid claims to be rejected.0
