Louby we are excited! We went last year for scarefest and it was amazing
. That was before I got poorly so I'm glad we still have those memories to treasure and we are looking forward to making new ones.
I've phoned up tax office and confirmed everything with my tax code. It seems whatever has happened has made me pay less tax (tax office refunded me saying I over paid on tax and now they're saying I've underpaid). Either way I'm no longer going to stress about it. It's only small amounts and will be accumulated back through my tax code.
I've also phoned up tax credits and sorted out something with my claim there.
I've phoned up and paid the yearly registration fees for the boys ice skating membership. He has to have this to do the local yearly show.
I've also set up a direct debit for prepayment prescriptions over the next 10 months. That will save me money and ensure it is paid for and I won't have to worry about the card running out.
I've now just got to pick up my prescription from my local pharmacy and then head off to work until midnight tonight. All in all its been a very busy day.Chandelier.

Glad you managed to sort the tax office, one less thing to worry about.
Your boy will no doubt have an amazing time, make sure you take some time to relax between working this weekend x0 -
Thanks Hidden. I'll definitely make sure to fit in some relaxation time somewhere along the way.
I've not done motorway driving for a while so I'm rather anxious about it. I know once I'm on there that I'll be fine. It's just driving to newish places that gets to me.
I'm working yet another late shift tonight, 4pm until 12pm. I've not achieved much today except we've been out shopping for some odd bits and bobs. I've bought the boy two presents for his birthday and I'll give him some cash in his birthday card. We then nipped into the supermarket for some cleaning products and a few food items which I paid for.
All in all its a quiet day ahead.Chandelier.

Just caught up with your diary.
You have made some really good progressBUGGRITMILLENIUMHANDANDSHRIMP I TOLD EM! - Foul Ole Ron
It is important that we know where we come from, because if you do not know where you come from, then you do not know where you are, and if you don't know where you are, then you don't know where you are going. If you don't know where you're going, you're probably going wrong.

Thanks UncannyScot.. I feel like there could be more progress to be made but I'm taking a back seat for a while.
Work went okay last night although it was busy. I was glad to get home and I sat down and watched "I know what you did last summer". I found the film a bit bizarre but it enabled me to wind down and relax before bed time.
Today I am due to travel to Catterick to stay overnight at my brothers and I'll travel back with the boy tomorrow. I'm not going to lie, I am very nervous about driving. I'm just going to have to be organised and so some self help talking to myself to boost my confidence.
Tomorrow I'm getting my car professionally cleaned. I tend to do this about once a year and clean it myself in between. It makes me feel so much happier for someone else to do it and I see it as a treat to myself.
I'm still getting urged to pay off more debt but I'm being firm with myself. I will review this at the middle of the month and the end of the month to see where I am at.
Anyhow happy Sunday everyone.Chandelier.

Safe travels!
I am always tempted to get my car cleaned by the pro's but I just grudge the money when I can do it myself. No doubt they'll do a much better job haha!0 -
Morning
So I made it there and back on my little trip. I won't lie I was very nervous on the way there but I was absolutely fine on the way back.
My car is now nice, shiny and very clean. However when my brother went to move my car he got grass in it (grass was cut yesterday and bits left over), so I will just need to give it a quick hoover. The man did an amazing job and it was worth the price.
I've had a spendy weekend overall which includes filling my car up with petrol, buying the boy some birthday presents and other things.
The boy is no longer going away on holiday due to family circumstances on his dad's side so he is now here for his birthday. I'm going to arrange for us to go for a meal instead.
These next few days should hopefully be NSD's. I've nothing planned. I may potentially go out for a meal tonight with friends but that's about it. We'll see with that one.
I need to phone our car insurance company up and apply for further discount from the driving app again. It should give us around 10% discount again on the insurance. I'll sort that tonight.
Anyhow have a good day everyoneChandelier.

Glad to read that the journey wasn't too painful and also that you'll be able to spend the boys birthday with him! Have a look on Groupon for any nice deals going for the meal.0
