Have a lovely day! x0
-
Thanks Hidden and Speky.
We will probably go for a meal on Saturday night if we can get in to where we want.
Yesterday ended up a busy day. I had a busy morning at work then training in the afternoon. I then went for tea with some friends which was lovely. I then came home, had a relaxing bath and went straight to bed.
Today I have work and I will then have to pick the boy up and get ready for tomorrow's journey. I'll probably nip to the supermarket and stock up on picnic items. I can't believe how fast time has gone. It's the boys actual birthday on Saturday- he will be 7. Time goes so quick.
There isn't much happening on the MSE front. All my bills are paid bar one. I just need to curb the spending after the next few days.
Have a good day everyoneChandelier.

Morning
Today is the day me and the boy whizz off to Alton Towers. I have quite alot to do this morning to prepare for it. I'll be fine though, it's another long car journey to add under my belt.
Last night I nipped to go get some snacks to take with us and I ended up buying a new car cd so we can have a sing along on the way there. I also filled up with petrol and withdrew some cash for spends.
At the moment my bank accounts are all over the place and I'll need to realign them over the next few days. I think I'll do that on Saturday/Sunday once all spends have come out.
I paid for our car insurance last night and ended up bringing the premiums for both cars to £550 which is even more cheaper then the last quote I got. So I'm happy with this. My insurance alone on price comparison sites was nearing the £600 mark so to get both of them to the above figure is an amazing result.
I've bought the boys birthday card and will pop some money in for his birthday. I'm unsure of the amount just yet but I'll figure that out over the next couple of days. I'll let him spend some then save some. The boy usually likes to save his money.
We are staying overnight in a hotel tonight which I am excited about. We will probably get our tea there as they serve food up until 8.30pm. I think after a long day at the theme park that we will both be wiped out and most likely have an early night.
Anyhow I suppose I best be off to plan for the day ahead. It's going to be a long one!Chandelier.

Morning
Today is the boys birthday. I can't quite believe he's 7 years old now, it doesn't seem like two minutes ago he was born. We had a great time at Alton towers and stayed in a lovely quaint hotel for the night.
We obviously had quite a few spends over the past couple of days but nothing too drastic. I withdrew £100 and spent around £40 and then put £50 in the boys birthday card ready for today.
I'm hoping these next few days will be low spend days. We are going out for a meal tonight to celebrate his actual birthday to our local Italian which should be good.
I'm working today and tomorrow. I've appointments Monday and Tuesday and the rest of the week is looking rather busy too. Next weekend we are off to London to visit my sister.
Anyhow the car insurance is now paid. I've one last expense in September (my registration fees) then I'm done with the big expenses for the year.
This month is definitely a spendy one and I'll be glad when it all calms down. I can then focus on debt busting/building up my savings.
The budgeting for the month has gone rather upside down as it has been spends here there and everywhere. I need to get back on track for the rest of the month, I just don't know where to start.Chandelier.

Happy birthday to your boy I hope he has a wonderful day x
Glad you both had a wonderful time away
Take care x0 -
Thanks Hidden.
So the boy had a wonderful birthday yesterday. He has been well and truly spoilt. We went for a lovely meal at our local Italian and then we walked home and the boy went to his dads.
Work was busy for me yesterday and it was non stop. I expect today to be the exact same. The team I work with is amazing though and it shows each day we work together. I couldn't ask for a better team to be part of.
The week ahead is looking very busy..
Monday: Dental appointment and optician appointment.
Tuesday: CPN meeting then hair appointment.
Wednesday: 13.5 hour shift.
Thursday: 13.5 hour shift.
Friday: A day out with the boys dad.
Then were off to London for the weekend to visit my sister. So all in all a busy week ahead with a couple of planned spends.
I need to sort out my online banking and look at my budget again for the month ahead as with all the planned spends it's gone a bit upside down.
Either way, everything will work out.Chandelier.

Morning,
It's yet another wet Monday here! I've been awake since 4.30am and I have no idea why.
Today I have my dental appointment to discuss the work that is going to happen. Hopefully here I shall get final figures of how much the work done will cost. I've no illusion that it will be cheap and I'm aware of the potential costs.
I've been doing some thinking around it all and have come to the conclusion I'm going to keep each different debt (car debt and dental work) separate. So rather then focus on bringing balances of them all down, I'll focus on the remaining car debt first and clear that then steer my focus to the dental work debt.
I'm planning on making a big overpayment to my debt today using some of my savings to kick start my plan. I will then provide a clear plan each month to tackle the debt.
My income/circumstances have changed over the past couple of weeks and I'm awaiting a few things to sort themselves out so I'm working off a basic income. Any extra is a bonus.
I'll update later what I have paid off with new balances and the plan to tackle this head on over the next few months.Chandelier.
