Morning,
Thanks Misty and Cumbrialass ..
I've another busy day ahead of me at work. I know it's going to be stressful and I need to try and keep myself calm throughout the day.
Its payday on Wednesday and Friday for me. I'll be receiving more income then I thought this month which is a positive as I was worried how I'd cope for August budget with everything going on.
I'm going to take a step back in repaying the debts as I have been. I'll still make a decent payment at the beginning of next month but I'm going to put more into my savings to build them back up. I know I'll probably struggle to do this and get the urge to overpay but I'm going to try and rein it in. I need to remember it's not a race and I still need to have some enjoyment in life (when I'm up to it). I'll probably keep building up the savings and make lump sum overpayments where ever possible. As all the debts are on 0%, I'll just make minimum payments to one card and focus on paying larger amount on other. I'll focus on one card at a time.
I'm still waiting to go back to the dentist where we will discuss the treatment I plan to have done. I'm still doing this and I'm aware it will add to debt but for me it's necessary. Once again it will be spread over 0% cards. I'll pay just over the minimum for these until the car debt is paid off. This will set my DFD back a while but that's okay with me.
Another thing is I need to start saving up to pay for our holiday next year. I've been lax about this so far. The final payment is in May. We will probably book flights in September/October time.
Anyway that's pretty much it for me. I've a few jobs to do today. I need to phone tax office and sort out my tax codes.
I've also my consultant appointment straight after work and I'm already feeling agitated about it.
Happy Monday everyone.Chandelier.

Chandelier - Our very own Martin Lewis once gave some advice which I hadn't considered before.
He suggested paying off the card with the least amount on it first as opposed to tackling the bigger debt, which was my initial thinking. His advice was right (of course) and I got a mental lift when I paid off one of the cards, so you've got a sound plan.0 -
Morning..
Yesterday was rather busy. I was suppose to finish work at 2pm and go to my appointment. I did that and then went back to work to help out as they were short staffed. It's extra money in my pocket I guess.
The outcome of yesterday appointment was another medication added to the list- an antidepressant. Hopefully this will kick in over the next few weeks.
I'm absolutely shattered this morning. I have yet another appointment to attend which I'm very anxious about. I then have work after.
In other news, tomorrow is pay day number one. When that money hits my account I'll transfer it over to the account next month's budget is sat in.
I've also received an extra payment of tax credits as I earnt less then predicted in the last financial year. This is an extra £400 which will go straight to the savings pot.
I still need to phone the tax office and sort out my tax code. I'll try do that today at some point.
Aside from that there is nothing much else to report. Things are ticking over and I'm just waiting until the next month is here so I can start a fresh budget.
The boy is now off school so I'm sure in the next few days we'll get out the house and do some things. .
Anyhow I hope everyone has a nice day.Chandelier.

Glad to hear that the doctor gave you some help and that things get better in the forthcoming weeks. Tax credit money will start your holiday fund off nicely.

It's so nice when you get an unexpected lump sum like that! It must feel great to have it sitting in your savings account.0

Morning.
It's awful weather here, very wet and miserable.
Yesterday work was very busy and I didn't stop until right to the end of the shift. I had another appointment to attend in the morning so goodness knows how that went, I'll find out in a few weeks.
This morning me and the boy have made smoothies using up some bananas and strawberries which are close to their shelf life. That was a nice activity to do together.
I'm nipping into work later with him to pay some money for an event in October (money has to be paid by today) and I'm going to help decorate a room for upcoming party. The boy shall be with me for that and he's excited to decorate a room for a party.
I've made Augusts payments towards debt this morning so its one less thing to worry about. I used funds from the money already put aside into a bank account for next month's budget.
The debt totals are as follows:-
MBNA: £1750. (£200 paid)
Halifax: £2750. (£50 paid).
TOTAL: £4500.
August is an expensive month and as mentioned previously I plan to pay minimal amounts and direct other funds to savings and when it builds back up, I'll make lump sum over payments. The plan is to tackle the smallest debt first which is of course the MBNA.
I'll have a better idea next week of the costs of getting veneers done. These are to be put on 0% purchase cards and have long standing payment periods. The thought of adding to the debt does worry me at times but I know I'll tackle it head on with all I've got.
Anyhow that's pretty much it for me.
Hope everyone has a nice day.Chandelier.
