i did a vision2learn course a few years ago. It was really enjoyable and well worth doing.

It fitted in with my life - the exam at the end wasnt as bad as I thought it was going to be and ok had to go to a college further afield but it was worth it.

  • Is anyone currently doing the Equality & Diversity course having any issues with it? I've heard nothng from my tutor since I started, despite many e-mails. The assessment due dates have been swapped and changed with only days notice too. The others on the learning forum seem to have had no contact either!

Didn't hear from the first tutor, completed my first assessment and got moved to another group and this tutor has responded. Haven't had any other problems, not sure about assessment dates as I didn't pay attention to them sorry.

Not heard anything from my first tutor and not be transferred, so still haven't. Neither has anyone else on the group. Sent my assessment in 9th May, the due date was 10th. Got an e-mail today saying that as I sent my assessment in after the due date of 10th May they cannot secure my funding at the original college, but the good news is they have secured it somewhere else and I will receive an enrolment form in the post.
I've checked on the online study area and I definitely sent it 9th May, I've also taken a screenshot of this now to make sure I have evidence.

Someone on the messageboard said that apparently the original college had pulled funding a few weeks ago, so swapping us was already in the pipeline. I don't mind that at all, but to claim it is because I sent my assessment in late and act like they're doing me a favour getting me into a new college as if its my own fault is really cheeky imo.

Have you checked your spam folder?

They sent me that email, but then sent me another one saying ignore that because it was wrong. And then I got yet another with the correct information on.

I rang them up and explained I had submitted before the deadline and had a screenshot to prove it. She apoogised and said that it was due to the all coming through at their end the next day. Then she explained the other college doesnt have enough funding so many of us are being transferred. I got the other two e-mails soon after. Hopefully being transferred to another college means i'll get a tutor who actually replies.

i had the same excuse with regard to late and not enough funding

but they sorted out the funding at the start of the course so how can they say that there is none whilst your still doing it

i think its just a ploy to for them to claim extra money from the lsc

they will claim on the first enrolment form that you filled in and then they will claim again for the second enrolment form that you have to send back now

For anyone doing the equality and diversity course - what was the one opportunity that existed for men and not for women prior to the sex descrimination act - was this being a part of the clergy ?
