HomeHero Energy Comparison

Just read an article by Econsultancy about HomeHero's energy comparison service. (https://econsultancy.com/blog/69023-a-review-of-homehero-the-energy-switching-chatbot/)
It works on Facebook Messenger - you send a photo of your energy bill's QR code and you get a reply straight away with the best energy deals for you.
IMO, it seems less complicated compared to other similar services available. Has anyone else tried it?

Is it Ofgem accredited?
I suggest you always use an Ofgem accredited comparison site
What cashback do they offer?
Or do they trouser all the comission themselves?
There's a list of accredited comparison sites that offer cashback in the MSE article
http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/utilities/you-switch-gas-electricity
Edit: So it's just an affiliate site of EnergyLynx
Except you get no cashback, which you can get by using EnergyLynx directly here:

(£17 per fuel switched - potentially more if you go via a cashback site instead)0 -

Plain daft. Why let a third-party do something that takes less than five minutes of your time. Remember, the cheapest suppliers no longer pay referral fees so why would any-third party be keen to recommend them? I also worry that any recommendations to switch might be based on Ofgem's flawed savings methodology. My advice: do your own sums and make your own decisions.
PS I know nothing about HomeHero and I haven't bothered to look. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Hi footyguy, thanks for pointing out that yes, the engine we use is Ofgem accredited
The forum rules mean we can't discuss cashback deals here
Hi Hengus, thanks for your question.
The point of us as a third party is we take what can be done in 5 minutes & let people do it in literally 5 seconds with just a photo or screenshot of their energy bill.
Also as we are on Facebook Messenger our service is very accessible - that means there are millions who don't have to download an app to get this instant photo based service.0 -
